A few hours had passed since Rekior's declaration of war, an hour which had been spent watching the lightning cheetah troops march from their village, down past the river where Dark ventured and towards the old battlefield.
However, Rekior for some reason decided to hang back at lightning cheetah village. Dark clicked his tongue, tapping his feet as the time slowly trickled by. That was until the sound of armour clanging could be heard and a gang of black ears appeared.
"We are here, sir Rekior", one of them said, marching towards the front.
Rekior nodded and smiled, "Good! Go and join up with my troops".
Without another word, the black ears did as they were instructed. Dark watched them quickly fall into line behind the lightning cheetahs.
"Revenge I assume", he said.
