Sat with his legs dangling over a small cliff, Milo stared out across the forest as the cold breeze washed over his face, the rough rustling of a single tree behind him rang in his ears as the sound of dozens of monsters echoed throughout the forest, bouncing up towards his delicate eardrums.
'I can't believe there was a spot like this in this damn place'.
Milo took the sight in beneath him. Despite it being pitch black, just by focusing some mana into his eyes the colourful nodes of mana swarmed his vision, painting the horizon in a wonderful iridescent glow. The outline of each monster beneath him became clear as the paths they were following lined his vision.
It was nights like these that made Milo believe everything he was doing was worthwhile. His mind flashed as a familiar feeling of déjà vu washed over him.
'I feel like I've seen this sight before'.
