Milo sat up, swallowing as he rubbed the sleep from his weary eyes. He pushed himself further away from the covers using the sweaty palms of his hands, his eyes still unfocused as they drifted towards the window.
'Still night time …'.
He let out a quite yawn and rubbed his eyes again.
'But what the hell was that dream … no, it was too vivid to be called a dream … more like a memory'.
It was the first time he had ever experienced something like this. Yes, he had thought back to his previous life before, but being so immersed in a dream that felt like real time, as if the events were playing out all over again, yet there was nothing he could do to alter them was so … astounding.
Milo's unfocused eyes finally settled watching the gentle rain pattering on the window.
'Vermilion …'.
