"Hi, doc! Why did you disappear last night? I was looking for you," she leaned into Zairon's arm. Her voice suddenly softened, making me roll my eyes.
I was about to pull her away from him when Zairon himself gently removed her hand and gave her a cold stare.
"Don't touch me. Do you want to experience my wife's slap?" he said coldly but with a threat in his voice. He really claimed me as his wife.
The woman's eyes widened in shock. "W-What? Wife?"
"Yes. So, please, if you don't want to fail, stay away from me," he said firmly and turned in my direction.
The woman swallowed and quickly backed away. "S-Sorry, Doc. I didn't know."
He ignored the woman and came closer to me. He held my hand tightly and even showed it in front of the woman. "Now you know. This is my wife, Laurene."
