After revisiting his plan, Hou Hai grabbed the rusty blade that had been used to take Zhenzhen's life. He took the sword and went straight to Xiaoling's chambers.
As he entered her room, he noticed she was lifelessly sitting on the ground while staring out the window. He scoffed loudly as he walked toward her and squatted before her.
She didn't turn toward him or react in any way—her eyes were completely emotionless.
Furious at her emotionless puppet-like behavior, Hou Hai abruptly grabbed her chin to make her look at him.
"Do you think you can get away with acting like this?" Hou Hai asked grimly, "Do you think your life is the only thing I can take now?"
