Weisheng and Xiaoling were just about to head back when Weisheng offered her to share horses with him. Not only was his offer out of the blue, but also severely disliked by Xiaoling.
"Why must we share horses?" Xiaoling asked with a straight face, clenching the reins of her horse tightly.
"Because we can ride fast and head back to the Plum Dragon Pavillion before nightfall," Weisheng shrugged, "If we walk our way there, we won't make it. City gates close soon."
Xiaoling pouted and clenched the reins even tighter, "You should've taught me how to make the horse run, then. Why teach me something useless?" She asked in a complaining tone.
Weisheng was quite patient with her. He simply smiled and reached for her, fixing her hair for her, "How can you learn a skill in one day? Besides, aren't you tired? Horse riding is so tiring. If I keep you going, the doctor will reprimand me!"
