Zisheng seemed to hold Xiaoling higher than himself, asking her to address him using his given name. It was evident that he had thrown his pride away to achieve enlightenment. He must be stronger than even Xiaoling's Godmother with that attitude.
"Please don't hold me in such high regard," Xiaoling humbly said, "It is only fair you address me with my given name, too."
Zisheng smiled a little, nodding slowly. He gestured toward one of the benches, inviting both to take their seats. Bojing let the adults take their seats first and only sat down when both sat comfortably before each other. He sat down beside his Master, facing Xiaoling. The benches had attached cedar wood tables, making it easy to talk comfortably.
"I met Bojing in the cat shelter set up by my disciple, Hai," Xiaoling explained, "He told me about how you saved him from the Underworld. I'm interested in that and wondered if you would be willing to help my disciple, too?"
