Although Xiaoling had gone over to Weisheng's room just so they could talk things out, she couldn't have ever guessed he had gotten so sick.
"So, what am I supposed to do?" Xiaoling asked, "Watch you as you die?"
Weisheng chuckled, "I suppose."
"Are you serious?" Xiaoling frowned and grabbed her phone to call a doctor.
"Don't bother," Weisheng reminded her, "It's the curse. Leave it be."
Xiaoling frustratingly threw her phone on the nightstand and stood up. She walked toward the door to leave.
"Wait!" Weisheng called her out, stopping her in her tracks, "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to bring my Godmother over to take a look at you," Xiaoling murmured, "I'm waking her up for you. Be grateful."
Weisheng sighed, "That won't work either," He broke it down to her, "I didn't tell you because I knew you would try to look for a situation. I already asked Mengzhen. There's nothing we can do about it. Let it pass on its own."
