Xiaoling woke up to find herself alone in her bed. Her eyes were heavy from crying herself to sleep while in Hou Hai's arm. She was still in disbelief that she just let him take her body as he pleased. No amount of crying could fix the void in her heart.
As she sat up, her body felt physically heavy. Hou Hai had been nice to her, but it felt disgusting. Her body felt foreign to her. The more she thought about it, the more her heart ached.
She quickly left the bed, bathed to clean herself of the filth from last night, dressed up, and put on makeup. After freshening up, she already felt way better. However, she needed to let her worries out. For that, she decided to have breakfast with the Empress.
"Is someone out there?" She called for a servant.
Zhenzhen immediately entered, "Yes, Young Lady? You're awake early."
