The Arbiter and Hou Hai left after ensuring Xiaoling was alright. Weisheng sat beside her on a small chair while mindlessly flipping coals in the heater using the rod. The room was cold despite the heater running.
The sound of the rod flipping coals made Xiaoling open her eyes. She yawned softly, looking at Weisheng who was busy flipping coals. He hadn't realized she had woken up and she didn't speak a single word. She quietly looked at him.
Suddenly, he sighed deeply, setting the rod aside and letting his head drop back to look at the ceiling. He seemed tired, yet he remained seated beside the bed. Xiaoling smiled softly. If he was that tired, he could go take rest, but he chose to stay and sigh instead.
"Does looking after me make you that tired?" Xiaoling asked jokingly.
Weisheng quickly dropped his head down upon hearing her voice, "You're awake," He spoke under his breath, "How do you feel now? Still in pain?"
