Xie Gang left the residence after having dinner with Xiaoling. He ensured to leave six disciples of the Yongrui Sect behind to look after Xiaoling while he sowed the seed of hope in Weisheng's mind.
He went to the Arbiter's Hall to look for Weisheng. To his surprise, Weisheng and the Arbiter were walking out together. It was almost time for him to return home anyway.
Xie Gang quickly went up to them, clasped his hands together, and bowed, "Lord Arbiter, Lord Advocate," He called them respectfully, "I am just returning from Ren Xiaoling's residence. She requested to see the Lord Advocate, so I arrived here to pass on the message."
Weisheng narrowed his eyes and looked at the Arbiter. The Arbiter seemed just as confused.
"We thought you mentioned she did not want to see you," The Arbiter passed a remark amidst the silence.
Weisheng exhaled, "That's what I thought…"
