Ru entered the morning court assembly right when all officials were queuing up to go inside. He quickly walked along the long line of officials to reach the front, since the Crown Prince had to stand ahead of other officials. As he took his spot, all the officials marched toward the courtroom, where the Emperor was already seated on his throne, waiting for the officials.
"Greetings to His Majesty!" The officials simultaneously uttered, "Live long! Live long! Live Longer!"
The Emperor gestured to the bowing officials to be at ease before clearing his throat and addressing them, "Let's start with reports."
On the report call, an official from the right side quickly walked to the center, "Your Majesty! We've received a complaint against the Crown Prince!"
Ru remained calm, pressing against his hands that he had interlocked before him to show the Emperor respect.
"Do tell," The Emperor responded calmly upon witnessing Ru's calmness.
