Weisheng walked with Xiaoling while holding her hand, suspicious about her ambiguous words. Was he not acting like himself? He couldn't tell himself apart from the Supreme Demon Lord. Maybe it was the same for Xiaoling.
"Do you…" Weisheng spoke hesitantly, "Do you remember something about the Supreme Demon Lord that makes you say that?"
Xiaoling nodded honestly, "I remember him caring for me if that matters."
Weisheng cleared his throat, "What else do you remember?"
Xiaoling quietly walked alongside him. She could tell he was trying to pry into her memory box to see if it had gotten to a dangerous point. She wasn't sure which memory was dangerous out of the ones she knew. But the Arbiter, Weisheng, and her Godmother considered all memories dangerous.
"Why are you asking?" Xiaoling asked him instead of being honest. She kept her gaze on the footprints their walk left on the snow.
