Chapter 69 - Nindō 0069: Hypocrite?

"Take care, Karin," Naruto said with a smile as Karin looked at him with a resentful expression. She was barely standing on her legs and would have fainted already if not for the stamina of an Uzumaki. "You look angry, but my cum is still staining your face. Now, make sure to keep my gift inside you at all times. Otherwise, prepare to be punished."

The blush that appeared on Karin's face made Naruto smirk. "Goodnight, Hokage-sama," she slammed the door in his face. She quickly turned around and leaned against the door as her legs gave out. She sat on the floor and pouted. "Fuck's sake, stop teasing him, Karin …" She mumbled while trying her best to ignore the presence of Naruto's 'gift'.

[Seriously, Naruto?] Kurama's growl was filled with disappointment.

[What? Offended at my utilization of the Truth Seeker Balls?]

[It is a divine technique that only the jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails are known to possess. You are using it as a damn sex toy.]

[That's what makes it hot.] Naruto's casual chuckle made Kurama growl.

[Forget it.]

[Don't feel too disappointed in me. I left that plug inside her as an experiment.]

[Of course, you would try to spin it off like that.] Kurama sighed tiredly.

[Listen to me. I want to test whether or not I can control the orb through Karin.]

[The Dominion Mark …]

[Exactly. While I can leave the orb in a simple passive state without intervention, and it will last virtually forever without using my chakra as a medium, I can't manipulate it. I want to see if I can use Karin's mark as the medium to control it. Using it as a sex toy just seemed like a fun way to do the experiment.]

[So there should be a way for you to cast jutsu through the mark …]

[Probably not the traditional kind, at least. While I can send my chakra through the mark, it naturally assimilates with the body of the holder. To cast jutsu, I need to mobilize that chakra, which means taking control of the mark holder's chakra. I can probably use the Dominion Mark as the medium to control the already existing Truth Seeker Ball, but I can't create new ones with just the mark.]

[I'm surprised you haven't tried to do this with Hinata instead. You're already feeling reluctant toward this Karin girl, so you might as well cut it off completely.]

[What are you talking about?] Naruto's tone came out as slightly defensive.

[You're smart enough to figure it out yourself.]

Naruto grunted and did not respond.

"Tou-chan~"

"How's my darling, Hima?" Naruto grunted, picking his daughter up and kissing her cheek. "Did anything special happen since lunch?"

"Mhm," the girl nodded with a mischievous expression while looking at Naruto.

"What is it?" Naruto asked as Hinata came to the front to greet him. "How are you, my love?" He shared a brief kiss with his wife.

"Come, sit at the table. I've already prepared dinner," Hinata said, blushing.

"I'll be right there," Naruto said before focusing on Himawari.

"I'm not telling you," his daughter puffed her cheeks.

"Why? Is my baby girl mad at Tou-chan?"

"Why are you late? You said that you wouldn't be late anymore."

"It's just thirty minutes," Naruto said. "I had an important meeting, my sweet and beautiful Hima."

"You promised that you would be home on time from now on. You have to compensate for it," she said, still pouting.

"What kind of compensation does my daughter want? I'll do anything to earn your forgiveness."

"I want you to read to me," Himawari said stubbornly. "You also have to feed me."

"Done," Naruto said with serious determination as he approached the dining table and sat at the head with Himawari sitting on his thigh. "Is my wife also mad at me for being late?" He asked teasingly once Hinata sat at his side after calling Boruto.

"Never," Hinata shook her head and started serving Naruto's food. "Will you eat your veggies, Hima?"

"No—" The girl shook her head, but Naruto spoke over her.

"Of course she will," Naruto said, patting her head. "Don't be willful."

As Naruto coaxed her, Boruto also came down, sitting opposite Hinata.

"How was your day, son?" Naruto asked.

"Pretty good," Boruto said. "I've made good progress with my Vanishing Rasengan."

"That's good. Let me know if you need any guidance or even just a sparring partner," Naruto said before turning to Himawari. "Eat up, honey."

"No~" She refused. "I don't wanna …"

"Hey, now. You're Daddy's good girl, right?" He said, patting her head with his free hand. "Be good, okay?"

"You know she's just playing with you, right, Dad?" Boruto said, a little weirded out. "You don't actually need to treat her like she's five."

"Onii-chan is jealous that Tou-chan loves me more," Himawari hugged Naruto, making him chuckle.

"Be it five or fifty. You both will always just be little children to me and your mother."

As the family of four continued eating dinner, Naruto brought up something that had been on his mind for a while. "Hinata," he called out before feeding Himawari the last of the food on his plate.

"What is it, Naruto-kun?" she asked, taking his plate and bringing it to the kitchen. Boruto did the same with his dishes.

"What do you think about taking a little trip to the mountains during the weekend? I have my eye on a nice resort near the border of Iwa. I hear they have a great view there."

"You really have the time to take a trip with us?" Boruto was skeptical. "We haven't had any family trips ever since you became the Hokage."

"Well, you clearly don't seem very interested," Naruto said. "I guess I'll just take Hinata and Hima with —"

"No!" Boruto panicked. "I want to go. Who said I don't want to go? It's a lie!"

"Onii-chan, you already go on missions outside the village," Himawari teased.

"Our missions don't really pay enough for us to stay in hotels and resorts, Hima. I feel like I know more about bugs than Shino-sensei after how many I've encountered when I'm sleeping in a tent."

"I still think you should stay. I can enjoy it in your stead. You can go train or whatever~"

"You …"

As the two kids continued bantering, Hinata spoke up. "Do you really have the time, Naruto-kun?" she asked with concern, making Naruto smile gently.

"For my family, darling? I have all the time in the world. Plus, it's likely going to be no more than a three-day trip. We'll be back before the council meeting in two weeks."

"A brief vacation in the mountains sounds like a good plan," Hinata nodded.

"You have to make sure I don't have classes those days. I don't want to ruin my attendance, Tou-chan," Himawari chirped, making Naruto laugh.

"I'll make sure of that, Hima," Naruto said. "We will leave before the weekend, okay?"

"Good," the girl made a haughty 'umu' sound, prompting another chuckle from Naruto.

"Then it's final," his gaze turned to his son. "We will be going for a small family vacation next weekend."

"Yeah, yeah. For sure," Boruto acted nonchalantly, but he was also excited.

Naruto shook his head and naturally walked to the couch with Himawari still in his arms. He grabbed the TV remote, and just as he was about to turn it on, Himawari snatched it from his hand.

"Tou-chan!" She reproached.

"What's wrong?"

"You were going to read to me," the girl said.

"I thought you would read by yourself while I accompanied you," Naruto replied.

"I want you to read to me," she pleaded.

Naruto ignored the sounds of his wife and son's laughter and sighed before agreeing, "Which book is it? Are you done with that story about Ninshu?"

"I got bored of it," the girl said. "It was so boring. Kaa-chan tried very hard to get me to finish it, but I kept falling asleep."

"It's okay. A book about the philosophies of Ninshu is understandably too much for a ten-year-old. Should we revisit The Gutsy Ninja, then?"

"Yes!" Himawari squealed excitedly. "Kaa-chan wanted me to read more boring books like that Ninshu one."

"That's because your mother wants you to be the smartest little kunoichi ever," Naruto combed through her hair before summoning a clone to bring him the book. "She loves you just as much as I do, okay?" The clone handed him an old copy of a well-preserved book.

"Let's start," the girl said excitedly.

Naruto shook his head helplessly and opened the book. He inadvertently glanced at the signature left by Jiraya on the first page, smiling reminiscently. It was one of the rare signed copies that his sensei had given to him.

(A/N: Naruto will get what's coming soon enough. Just be patient. All this has a purpose.)
