Zhao Yang hadn't been to the office for an entire week, so seeing him suddenly made Chen Wei pause for a moment.
"Chen Wei? Come over here!" Zhao Yang spotted Chen Wei and waved him over.
Chen Wei walked into the stairwell.
"I heard that Yuan Tong screwed you over last week?" Zhao Yang asked.
"The key point is that he ended up screwing himself over too!" Sun Chong added with a laugh.
Chen Wei smiled faintly but didn't say anything.
"These bastards are becoming more and more shameless! Screwing over people in the same company! Unbelievable! And those risk controllers, have they all become spies now? They're even tipping each other off! It pisses me off!" Zhao Yang cursed.
"Yeah, seeing Meta, the company we built from scratch, fall to this level, it really pisses me off too!" Sun Chong sighed.
"Forget it, let Luo Chen and the others mess around. I want to see how far they can go! Chen Wei, I heard you're almost ready to leave?" Zhao Yang sighed and then addressed Chen Wei.
Chen Wei knew from these words that Zhao Yang had heard some news. It was understandable, as Zhou Yi and Pan Zhiyao had been blabbing in Group Seven, saying they were going to start their own business.
Since Zhao Yang was planning to leave anyway, Chen Wei didn't hold back and nodded, "I checked out an office yesterday. After this month, I won't be staying here. It's just not workable anymore."
"Go ahead, even if you didn't leave, I would have advised you to go. But don't take all the people from Group Seven with you. Leave me a few; I still need people on my side," Zhao Yang half-joked.
Chen Wei smiled and said, "I don't have that kind of pull. To be honest, I haven't been involved in recruiting. It's all Zhou Yi and the others who privately rallied about ten people willing to come with us. By the way, Zhao, how are things on your end?"
Zhao Yang glanced at Chen Wei with a hint of resentment. Group Seven had only about twenty people, and Chen Wei was taking half of them. Who knew how many of the remaining ones would be willing to follow him?
He replied in a disgruntled tone, "I don't have much to prepare. Huang Zhaokun has already set things up over there. I'll just join him directly."
Chen Wei nodded. He had long suspected that Huang Zhaokun had gone out to pave the way for Wang Wentao.
"Ah, you guys are leaving, but I have to stay here, holding the fort until the last moment!" Sun Chong sighed.
Chen Wei looked at him and smiled, "Why insist? Just come with us!"
Sun Chong shook his head, squinting his eyes, and said, "I have to stay here and keep performing my role."
Chen Wei didn't quite understand his meaning at first and wanted to ask, but seeing Sun Chong's demeanor, he decided against it.
Zhao Yang, noticing Chen Wei's confusion, subtly explained, "It's all part of Wang's arrangements. It's just about them outsmarting each other. Just thinking about it gives me a headache. Only someone as cunning as Sun Chong can handle this."
Sun Chong shot a glare at Zhao Yang.
Though Chen Wei didn't fully grasp it, he had a rough idea and smiled wryly.
Wang Wentao, Luo Chen, Sun Chong, and even the other group leaders were all cunning foxes, not to mention that young master Chu in the background.
Their intellectual battles were their own business. Chen Wei had no desire to get involved.
"By the way, where's your office? I'll come by and check it out sometime."
"You're always welcome. It's in Blue Sea Tianrun, East City," Chen Wei replied.
"Wow, Blue Sea Tianrun! That's a high-end place!" Sun Chong exclaimed.
"Isn't the rent expensive?" Zhao Yang asked, a bit surprised.

Zhao Yang nodded and didn't ask further. He simply smiled and said, "I'll definitely come by and check it out sometime then."
After chatting with Zhao Yang and Sun Chong for a while, Chen Wei returned to his office.
He had a conversation with Zheng Junpeng and the others until the market opened.
Chen Wei didn't rush into trading, instead, he slowly screened stocks.
Zhou Yi, who was sitting nearby, was also trading nonchalantly, occasionally texting Xue Jiaqi.
After a while, Zhou Yi leaned over and whispered, "Jiaqi hasn't given the evidence to Luo Chen yet, but for now, Xu Lin is behaving herself."
Chen Wei nodded slightly, reassured.
Xu Lin had indeed been more subdued today.
