"well that was an eventful start" you grumbled to yourself as you headed towards the boys. Akira and Hikaru seemed preoccupied with the pe teacher. It looked almost as if they were instructing the pe instructor.
Their eyes turned to you. They were in shock. Immediately moved forward to you in alarm. You realized you had some injury from your fight from before. Before they could question you about it you lied to them casually shrugging.
"I fell down. The floor was too greasy "
" you answered before we asked you " akira's eyes narrowed in suspicion
" oh " said Hikaru trying to figure out if you were lying." Then I will send someone to clean up the floor " he said smiling brightly.
Hearing this you dragged the boys to the centre of the court saying it was already too late. The boys however knew something was up and they would later ask Subaru to check out the CCTV in the changing room. Normally no boys were allowed to supervise that camera but they weren't just any boys.
The instructor explained that today you will be paired up in groups of three and play against another group. The winning team does not have to clean up the gym. While the rest of teams will suffer.
You excitedly waited for the teacher to divide you in groups. You wholeheartedly prayed for being paired up with someone sensible and not one of the fangirls. It was as if god did hear your prayers. You were paired up with akira and Hikaru who seemed rather unsurprised by it.
" This is a happy coincidence " you said as the three of you headed for the first match.
" yeah some happy coincidence " Hikaru mused. While akira only smirked.
You reached the court and groaned after realizing the opponents were riley and Michigan along with another girl who seemed just as nasty as them. Rolling your eyes you listened as the instructor went over the rules.
It seemed like your team was first to start. It was impossible to ignore the stares of jealous fangirl all around you. If they had a knife they would murder you.
As soon as the volleyball match started your team spared no effort in winning. While the team opposite to you only targeted you. In a matter of minutes, you won the match. It was one-sided. You gave a high five to Akira. Who despite not smiling returned the gesture.
But anger and resentment crossed over riley's face. She tossed the ball at you in full furry. But to your dismay tripped over hikaru.
The two of you hit the ground and Hikaru let out a soft grunt. You blinked for a few moments before your face went red with embarrassment.
" O-Oh my god I am so sorry" you scrambled of Hikaru and looked down, your eyes widening.
" don't worry about it dove. I am glad to have been your cushion~" he said smiling cheekily.
You helped him up and glared back at where riley stood. Only to see her missing. Along with Michigan. Even akira seemed to be gone.
You looked back Hikaru puzzled. But before you could ask he interrupted you.
" He has gone of to clean some grease ~ " the blond haired boy mused as he dusted himself.
Did akira go after those horrible girls. If so I hope he does not do something extreme.Breaking a arm or two would be enough. But you shook you head thinking maybe it was too much.
Hikaru had started to drag you somewhere before you could protest. With one curt nod the instructor let them go.
" my lovely dove ~" Hikaru called you out in his childish voice. " do you know what tomorrow is " he asked with a knowing smile.
You simply shook your head. You barely even know what date it is how would you know what was tomorrow. With your phone gone, most of your schedule is all messed up.
Note to self : keep schedule in physical form
" well tomorrow is the most awaited ball of the year. The summer solstice ball.~"
His green eyes then twinkled with excitement as he opened white marble double door. Inside was a heaven for any fashion designer. So many rare cloth lay around.
"wait is this about my dress you promised " you asked, as you looked around in awe.
This must have been the fashion class. Some students were working out their ideas in corners. They all were scattered around. With a single clap or bang on the desk Hikaru caught their attention.
"Everyone. Out~" he said
They all groaned in displeasure but Hikaru just gave them a look again and soon they emptied the classroom. A cool cloth then blocked your vision.
Hikaru gently led you towards the end of the class. You could tell by the number of steps you had walked. He cheerfully started counting.
"3...2..1...now open"
You were stunned to see a triple layered ball gown with sweetheart neckline that took a deep plunge. To match with it's rich burgundy it had a black inner skirt slightly visible on the front. To the left it had a elegant bow complementing the dress even more.
Your eyes watered with happiness and you hugged the boy tightly. If you could see his face now you would surely think it was same colour as your dress. You looked up in his eyes to thank him only to see his face change it's hue even more. He was so gleeful he could burst into bubbles.
But before either of you could talk the door opened up with a bang. You feared someone kicked it off its hinge. Yukio came in panting as if he had ran for miles.
" Yukio " you looked at him in surprise.
He held a box that was wrapped elegantly with chifon cloth. He looked rather disappointed at the sight of you two. What even confused you more were words Hikaru used.
" I won. You are late. Yuki chan ~" he said with a wink.
"arghhh" the brunette hair boy made a frustrated noise as he kicked one of the sewing machines.
You quickly thanked Hikaru and joined Yukio who was taking long strides. You called him out a couple of times but he did not stop at all. Finally you caught upto him
"Yukio, wait!" you call out
"Why did you leave?" you ask breathlessly, eyeing the box curiously. "And what's in there?"
He glares at you. "It's nothing," he grumbled
Determined, you snatch the box from him and pry it open, revealing a beautiful orange kimono inside. Your heart skips a beat as you realize he bought it for you. But you can't accept it, not when you've already promised to wear the dress Hikaru made for you.
"It's lovely," you say, trying to hide your conflicting emotions.
Yukio grunts, "It belongs to my mom."
You nod, sensing there's more to his story. "Tell me about her."
Yukio's demeanor softens slightly as he speaks of his mother, a striking woman who also happens to be the head of a yakuza syndicate. "She's as dangerous as she is beautiful," he admits.
You nod again, intrigued. "I'd love to meet her someday."
Yukio suggests, "Why not now?"
I was being polite ughh. I have so much work
As you settle into the backseat of Yukio's car, leaving space for Kazuto. Despite several request from yukio you did not sit on the front seat. You notice Yukio's subdued reaction as he feels a pang of disappointment.
Kazuto lazily opens the door and sits beside you and that is when it hits you again. You keep forgetting that these guys are not to be trusted. You narrowly look the hazel eyed male who booted is game as he scooted over to you.
Little too close for your comfort. Unable to resist a small jab, you glance at Kazuto and quip, "Did you just play Space Invaders?"
He looks surprised, "How did you know?"
"Because you're invading my space," you retort with a wry smile, eliciting a snort from Yukio and a hearty laugh from the backseat.
Startled, you turn to see none other than Hikaru, who had managed to sneak into the car unnoticed.
"How did you get in?" you ask, genuinely surprised by Hikaru's sudden appearance.
"It's a secret, Dove" he replies with a mischievous grin.
Yukio rolls his eyes at Hikaru's response. "He has a spare key," Yukio interjects
Hikaru responds with playful teasing. "Oh, come on, Yuki-chwan, I thought you loved me," he quips in his best cutesy voice, earning a mockingly exaggerated retching gesture from Yukio.
As Yukio races through the streets with reckless abandon, you can't help but grip the edges of your seat, fearing for your life with each sharp turn and sudden maneuver.
"I didn't know I signed up for a roller coaster ride," you quip.
Meanwhile, Hikaru's attempts to get closer to you only serve to exacerbate the chaotic atmosphere within the car. Each time he inches closer, Yukio retaliates with even harder turns, causing Hikaru to be jostled around the backseat like a ragdoll.
You stifle a laugh as Hikaru finds himself repeatedly slammed into the corner of the car, his attempts at closeness thwarted by Yukio's erratic driving.
The car finally screeches to a halt. By now, Kazuto has curled up on your lap, seeking comfort amidst the chaos, while Hikaru has succumbed to exhaustion and fallen asleep, his head resting heavily on your shoulder.
Yukio grunts in annoyance at the sight before him, clearly jealous he wasn't the one in your lap.
"Stop being a baby," he grumbles, reaching over to forcefully pull Kazuto away by his collar, despite Kazuto's protests of "no, no. Get me back to heaven"
Next, Yukio sets his sights on Hikaru, who clings to you even tighter upon seeing Kazuto's fate.
You chuckle softly at Hikaru's childlike antics, finding amusement in his determined grip. However, Yukio wastes no time in pulling him away from you in one swift motion.
When you get out of the car. You're immediately struck by its imposing yet graceful architecture. The building stands tall with sloping tiled roof.
The tiled roofs shimmer with shades of charcoal and slate.
At the entrance, a line of formidable men stands guard. All of them wore traditional Japanese attire. It might have been a bit old fashioned but they looked cool.
As Yukio approaches, the men bow in unison, a silent acknowledgment.
Hmm suites him
Yukio exchanges a few words with the guards before turning to you with a wry smile. "Impressive, isn't it?" he remarks, gesturing towards the grandeur of his ancestral home.
You nod in agreement, a sense of excitement bubbling within you. "It's unlike anything I've ever seen," you reply.
Kazuto and Hikaru, however, remain unimpressed by the spectacle before them. "Just a bunch of old-fashioned nonsense. No cybersecurity, no camera ,no technology. It's boring. Why do we even need a heavy door" Kazuto mutters under his breath, his disdain evident in his tone.
Hikaru shrugs nonchalantly. "I prefer a more modern aesthetic," he quips
Yukio glared at both of his friends which got them to shut up
" Yukio! My baby! Why are u here"
