"You were looking at me strangely while I talked to Eleanor," Lilith said.
"Was I? You must be taking it the wrong way, I only glanced at you."
"Jealous that I'm talking to your beloved?"
"Beloved? Please Eleanor is like a dear sister to me. Is that jealousy I smell?"
"Oh please. Don't gas yourself up." She said, her face turning red.
A long pause followed.
"Why are you doing this?" Kent asked, facing Lilith.
"Dining what?"
"Why are you lying about how you reached that island?"
"I do not understand what you speak of."
"You were never shipwrecked. You were never captured either."
"And you know that how? If you do not give me an ounce of trust then why do you allow me to be close to you."
"I-"
Kent walked to where Lilith was sitting. Kneeling and looking up at her.
"I do know that you're lying and you do not want to tell anyone the truth."
"I am not-"
"It's all right if you don't want to tell me. But I know you carry no bad intentions. I just want to know you, Lilith." He said taking her hands in his.
Lilith's heartbeat sped up and she looked into Kent's eyes feeling the sincerity in his words.
"One day." She said,
"And I am willing to wait."
He stood up, leaving the room.
Lilith let out a huge sigh of relief. She placed her hands on her chest. Her heart raced rapidly. Her skin flushed.
She recounted the conversation she just had with Kent. His soulful eyes and the way he just spoke to her. It sparked something in Lilith.
"You should tell him." A part of her mind whispered to her.
"I think I'm going to. I'm going to finally come clean." Lilith said to herself.
"Oh please, stop with the delusions. Anything could happen. A good or bad thing. In this case, the bad is more possible." Another part of her mind said.
"Don't listen to her. Follow your heart, Lilith. Go where it tells you to." A part said.
"He's a man for Neptune's sake. For all we know, he may not understand what you're saying about the mark and cast you out publicly and ruin your chances to get closer. Use your head, Lilith."
Lilith stared at nothing in particular. Her mind was a ruckus. She didn't know what to do. The options may lead to both good and bad outcomes.
"What do I do?" She thought quietly to herself.
"Miss Lilith?" The steward said moving closer to tap her slightly.
"Oh yes."
"Are you okay miss? I must say you looked very lost in your thoughts there."
"No need to fuss or worry. I'm all right." She said, flashing a small smile at him.
"May I call a maid to escort you to the library?"
"Oh no. That won't be a problem. I know where it is just on my own."
"Okay miss. I'll check in later and bring some snacks along with me."
"Thank you."
"It's my pleasure, miss."
Lilith walked up the stairs going to the now clean and dusted library.
She ran her fingers through the leaves of the pages. Going to open up the windows for a less stuffy space.
She searched through the books settling on a Greek mythology book of Persephone and Hades.
She flipped through the pages, the sunlight resting on her delicate features creating a beautiful image for any to see.
She paused the book to stretch and walk around and then suddenly remembered her mother.
"Oh, she must be worried." Lilith thought to herself.
The atmosphere suddenly turned ominous. Lilith turned around feeling a sort of negative energy around her but she was the only one in the library.
"Is anyone there?"
Silence.
A click sounded at the door. Lilith rushed to it, turning the knob but there was no way.
"Is someone there?" She said knocking on the door.
She walked around trying to look for a parr key or anything and then she remembered it was on the other side.
"Somebody help me!" She said repeatedly banging on the door. She screamed as hard as she could but to no avail. Nobody was coming to her rescue.
She went to the windows trying to see whether there was anyone who could help her but there was no one.
The sun was setting and it was gradually turning to dusk. Lilith leaned tiredly against the door, her fingers clawing helplessly against the wood.
"Someone…" Her voice was tired and weak. Her muscles aching from the banging and the kicking.
She lay tired on the cold floor of the library curling up into a little ball, shivering. She drifted off into slumber.
In her sleep, she could hear faint sounds. Someone was calling out to her and trying to wake her up and then the next thing, she was hoisted off the floor and into a warm embrace.
"Lilith, open your eyes. It's me, Kent."
Lilith slowly opened her eyes. Her voice was now almost home and her throat was parched.
"Water…" She whispered inaudibly.
She was fed water slowly and then she closed her eyes, slowly trying to sit up.
"How the hell was she locked up there, Thomas?" Kent bellowed angrily at the steward.
"Sir, I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"I told her I would come and check on her with some snacks. After I made the snacks, I was about to give her and one of the maids offered to take it up to her. When she came back down. She told me that she had gone back to her room and requested to not be disturbed."
"What was the maid's name?"
"I don't know Sir."
"Being all of them here. Now. Right this moment."
"Right away, Sir," Thomas said, walking away.

Donna checked amongst all the jewelry in the store and did not see anyone that caught her eye.
"Donna, what do you think about these pink diamonds?"
"So last season. The Lecroys carried them throughout. I can't be seen looking like a copycat." Donna said.
A bell sounded indicating someone had entered the shop. Donna browsed through the jewelry sighing repeatedly.
Until a hand grabbed a pair of emeralds she hadn't seen before then.
"I think these would look splendid on you, my lady."
"Oh…" Donna said, obviously flustered.
"Finn Webschester, at your service my lady." He said bowing to kiss her hand.
"A pleasure to finally meet you."
