Elena's POV
The days following Clarina's return home were filled with a mix of relief and exhaustion. We settled into a routine of caring for her, making sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. Despite the strain, there was an underlying sense of gratitude that we had made it through such a difficult time.
One afternoon, as I was preparing lunch in the kitchen, the doorbell rang. I wiped my hands on a towel and went to answer it. Standing on the doorstep was a tall, striking woman with short, platinum-blonde hair and sharp, blue eyes. She wore a tailored suit that exuded an air of confidence and authority.
"Hello," she said, her voice smooth and commanding. "I'm looking for Elena Parker."
"That's me," I replied, puzzled. "Can I help you?"
She extended her hand. "I'm Jessica Knight. Gabriel Knight's sister. May I come in?"
