"Do you know how many request I've gotten lately for information on you?" Leslie said as I walked toward him.
"How many?" I played along with him as I came to a chair that was in front of him and took a seat.
"So many it's insane!" He said as he rolled his eyes into the back of his head and lead his head back in fake shock.
"Angel Valentine! Information on his powers, information on his political stances, information on his friends on his likes and dislikes" Leslie said before he smirked.
"Information on his lovers" He said making my eye twitch as I glared at him.
"Lovers?" I sighed as I leaned back in my chair.
"Yep many want to rope you in with a marriage and trust me it's not just people from the empire" Leslie said as he put his feet on the floor leaned forward and rested his chin on his hands.
"How annoying" I said with a shake of my head making the man in front of me grin even harder.
"Tch if I had that many women wanting to marry me I would at least play the field a bit" Leslie said with a look of envy making me frown at him.
"I'm 15" I said simply before Leslie broke out into a fit of laughter before he rolled his eyes at me.
"Most nobles are engaged before they are even born stop making excuses and just say the facts" Leslie nodded making me tilt my head in confusion.
"Your a training junky who refuses to talk to women" I felt my eye twitch and the urge to throw some magic at this bastard increased.
"Shut up before I destroy your precious little bar" I said with a frown as the man in front of me laughed loudly before he sighed and nodded to me making me look at him helpless.
"Here" I took out a small bag that was filled with gold coins and threw it at him making him catch it with ease.
He opened it and looked inside before a large smile came back onto his face and I swore I could see his eyes shinning like tiny little stars.
'Money hungry bastard' I sighed and decided to ignore it as he took out a coin and started to flip it between his fingers.
"So what have you got for me?" I said as I crossed my arms.
"Mmmnnn" Leslie hummed before I felt a magic sound barrier surround us blocking out any sound from the outside.
I knew that there was no one around but I wasn't surprised that Leslie had still put up a barrier. You didn't become the leader of the information guild with out having a certain sense of paranoia.
"I'm sure you already know but the factions are at a boiling point" Leslie said as he continued to flip the coin back and forth between his fingers.
I nodded my head in acknowledgement as I thought about the current situation of the empire. There were four major factions all with their own political views and goals.
The royal family was split into two with the emperor and empress fighting for power constantly. Despite their never ending battle they still held a massive amount of power which led to the noble faction that sought to contain and make sure that the royal family didn't abuse its power but in reality the noble faction wanted to take any power they could away from them.
The last faction was led by the church with many of the smaller noble families holding onto the churches ankles clinging for power.
"And at the center of the boiling pot is a genius who's about to tilted as a arch mage and a master" Leslie said with a smile as he looked at me making me narrow my eyes.
"Every faction wants you and it seems there even willing to fight for your loyalty" i sighed and rubbed my forehead as I pushed my black hair out of my face.
"Your a valentine so under normal circumstances you would already be considered a member of the noble faction but your indifferent relationship with the Duke and duchess has caused many to think that you can be won over with enough money, power and time" Leslie said with a shake of his head as he stopped flipping his coin and looked at me with a serious gaze.
"The main question that I've received is which faction your leaning to and if your mind can be changed" Leslie said making me close my eyes for a couple of seconds before signing.
"You can tell them that I'm undecided" I said making him nod as he leaned back and smiled again.
"As for rumors going around I heard a very interesting one" He said as he flipped his coin again.
"It's said that Sir Nicolas had a complication in his training and suffered major injuries" My eyes went slightly wide at the piece of information.
"The empress must be pissed" I said and Leslie nodded with a grin.
"He was her strongest and most loyal hunting dog" Leslie said with a laugh.
"If the rumors are true then I'm sure you know what that means" Leslie said and I nodded my head.
"The empress could lose a significant amount of power which would only be the start" I said as I narrowed my eyes.
'The emperor will attack with out any hesitation and the nobles and even the church will try to get a bite of the prize' it was definitely a interesting piece of information and it was also very surprising.
Sir Nicholas was definitely one of the strongest in the empire and even I would be wary of him if I fought with only my sword if he was truly injured it would lead to even more massive changes then my title ceremony.
"You might look like a idiot but at least your useful" i said with a small smile making Leslie's face freeze and his eye twitch slightly.
"Thanks for the information" I said as a black mist started to surround me.
"Didn't I tell you to stop teleporting here your going to destroy the inscriptions you bastard!" Leslie stood up and yelled but I only smiled as my body disappeared from the room with no trace left behind.
I appeared in front of a large and beautiful red closed gate that had phoenix's and dragons engraved on the surface. It was definitely majestic but after seeing it so many times I was honestly sick of it.
"Who goes there!" Two guards stood at the entrance as they put there hands on their swords when they noticed me.
"This is the valentine manor! Identify yourself now!" The man on the right said as I walked forward.
I didn't respond and only reached for my hood and pulled it down as my wavy dark hair fell down slightly into my face. The second my face was revealed the two guards eyes went wide before they quickly pulled their hands off the swords and bowed respectfully.
"Young Lord angel!"
"Young lord angel" They two were bowing so deep and I swear I even saw them trembling slightly as I walked past them.
"Your doing a good job" I said simply but I was surprised as I saw one of the men almost tear up.
"Thank you young lord!" He said with a voice filled with emotion.
'I'm not that scary am I' I thought as I rubbed my soft cheek and looked at the large and luxurious manor that was in my gaze.
To call it a manor was definitely under selling it since it was more like a small palace. Four floors all with their own courtyards and gardens the house had many rooms and even more servants. It was a sight that I had grown used to but even I could admit that it was a wasteful and extravagant mansion.
'What should I do?' I wondered as I walked past the front door that was promptly opened by a servant.
'Aunt isn't back yet maybe I should steal her precious wine that she's been hiding from me' I thought with a smile as I looked around and sneaked toward her room.
