Despite attending meetings at the palace,Wen Mingye rarely went to see his mother so he decided to pay her a visit that Saturday afternoon. The visit most importantly focused on how each of them was fairing.
Wen Mingye carried a folded scroll in his hands which seemed to contain an important message from how he carefully handled the scroll.
"Mother have you looked into my eyes before?"Wen Mingye asked as he squatted in front of Empress Bai. Empress Bai was taken aback by the strange question but she tried to keep herself composed.
"What's with the strange question? Is there something I'm supposed to see in your eyes?"
"I was just asking."
"Okay now let me take a look,"Empress Bai lowered her gaze and stared into Wen Mingye's eyes,"Your sister has been trying a lot to match you with Ah-Zhi,seems like it worked."
"Mother,what do you mean?"
"I can see love in those eyes of yours,they are no longer empty as they used to be."
