The art display room itself was a harmonious blend of antiquity and elegance. The walls, painted in a soothing shade of pale celadon, were adorned with intricate gilded moldings that framed the ancient paintings. Soft sunlight filtered through the tall, arched windows, casting a warm glow upon the polished oak floor.
Each painting was carefully cradled within its own bespoke display case. Some of the cases were made of dark mahogany, their glass surfaced etched with delicate patterns reminiscent of ancient scrolls. Others were sleek and minimalist, constructed from translucent acrylic that seemed to vanish when you gaze upon the artwork.
The lighting was subtle yet precise. Adjustable spotlights highlighted specific details, the curve of a phoenix's wing, the glint in a scholar's eye, while leaving the rest of the room in a gentle twilight.
