The backpacker walks like a specter along the side of the road, extending his arm every time a vehicle deigns to appear on that silent and dusty road. So far no vehicle has dared to stop, maybe because of the traveler's appearance: greasy dark hair, disheveled clothes, including a wrinkled T-shirt with the peace symbol; tanned and torn jeans, not because of fashion but because he has just survived a robbery. His knees still bleed.
Before the route 0's loneliness consumes the traveler's energy, and he decides to simply camp on the site, new lights approach to touch his back and accentuate the shadows. A red Solair slows to a stop at the side of the road, the driver waves to the backpacker, inviting him to climb aboard.
