"Why did you let him go, brother dearest?" Grace asked, placing her hand gently on her beloved brother's shoulder.
"He'll be useful, provided he proves to be trustworthy. His ability to hide within dark spaces is intriguing—not powerful, but certainly useful. Once he conceals himself, not even the strongest of you heroes can sense him until he chooses to reveal himself," Sam explained calmly.
"Won't he say anything to Yoru?"
"He won't. And even if he did, I wouldn't care. As I've said before, it wouldn't be hard to kill him," Sam replied, then turned his gaze toward the members of the High Order.
"There are three things you all need to focus on moving forward," Sam said, raising a finger to emphasize his point.
"First, implement the screening process I mentioned earlier. Do it discreetly, so no one suspects a thing. Only members of the ancient families of the High Order should be involved in this. This applies to mages as well."
