"I understand why the 'Descent' is coming upon the universe, but what exactly is the 'Descent' itself? What will happen to us mortals?" Sam asked.
"I don't know," Victor admitted.
"In fact, none of the gods know. What I do know is that the 'Descent' will begin in four years, and you must be ready for it," he added, gazing up at the blue sky.
"Four years, huh?" Sam murmured, shaking his head as he pondered the implications.
"Evolution, regardless of race, requires effort—just like how you trains to break your limits and achieve invincibility."
"Whatever the 'Descent' entails, if it's meant to accelerate the evolution of every being in the universe, it won't be as easy as it sounds. Everything comes with a price, and everyone must pay the cost for power."
"What will you do? Where will you go?" Sam asked.
Victor's serious expression shifted into his usual mischievous grin. "Back to business."
