He sighed heavily as more and more inconsistencies come to light, His phone had let out a loud ding and a message notification popped up on the lockscreen
[Deal with him/them as you see fit, You're the CEO.]
He'd send a quick message back before buzzing for Jerome. A few minutes later Jerome had gone up and walked over to the desk. "You called Alex?" He asked holding a clipboard and a stack of papers.
"Tell them we're having the meeting in a few minutes." Alex had set down the ledger on the desk before standing up.
"I'll notify all of them immediately, I'll bring you over to the meeting room as well." Alex had followed behind Jerome. They stopped by the 44th floor and ordered the secretaries to notify the directors.
The pair then went on down to the 35th floor where they entered a large room with an oval mahogany table in the middle. Alex took a seat down at his seat and waited for the directors.
It didn't take long, one by one the directors entered they saw a young man sat down on the ceo's chair. Once all the seats were filled Alex glanced at them before speaking. "I'm Alex Mitchell, your new CEO, I was only supposed to just keep it short and simple but the situation at hand isn't allowing me too."
He'd nod to Jerome as he started to hand out the stack of documents he was carrying to each Director, "What you have there is the partnerships we're currently with and below it is the amount of money missing from each partnership."
The directors eyes widened as they started to glance at each other, Alex had kept a straight face before continuing, "The accounts ledger, and those partnerships have been double checked, I wonder who is so daring to Embezzle and Steal the money?"
A few directors kept a stoic expression while the others have a guilty and sullen look. "I'll be lenient if you admit to it now, I already have the evidence, so don't even try to play innocent here."
Two directors raised their hands, Alex glanced down at the two names he wrote down. "When I call your name raise your hand, If you don't Jerome knows who you are anyways, so do not test my patience."
"Ryan Smith and Jack Harthe" He called out the two names and raised his eyebrow when nobody raised their hands.
"Jerome, Point them out and make them stand up." He nodded and walked over to the two and pulled them up from their seat to force them to stand up.
"I see so you're the one who's the most brazen between the bunch." Alex's soft demeanor suddenly turned cold. He then sighed deeply before slamming the table with his palm making a loud thud.
"Is the company a fucking joke to you?" Alex had screamed out before looking at the two raising their hands.
"Tender your resignations and go to H.R to get your severance package." The two directors leave with their heads down in shame before going back to look at the two standing up.
"So? What is it Smith, Harthe? Is the company a fucking joke? If it was only one ledger I would've looked at it thinking it was an error, but four? That will never be a coincidence." Smith demeanor remained the same while Harthe was red in shame.
"Get out of here, you two are fired! Get the legal team and sue them." Smith and Harthe had left the room. Alex had rubbed his forehead then taking a deep breath.
"Apologies for my rude behavior, Director of HR, prepare for promotions, but select then properly, I don't want to deal wtih another Harthe Smith duo." The HR director nodded, the others couldn't say a word as the room seemed suffocating as They witnessed their colleagues fired and chewed out.
"Jerome, as for the two who raised their hands, just make them sign an indefinite NDA in exchange of not exposing their doings. This is all I can offer them." He'd fix up thr paper in his hand before standing up.
"Once again, I am Alex Mitchell, your new CEO, as you saw earlier, Abuse the company in anyway you're getting removed from your positions." The greetings had gone over for at most 20 minutes before they left.
"Jerome, call mr Tanaka to pick me up, send the relevant files later to the villa." Alex had spoke lightly his breathing still rapid from the tense moment earlier.
"Okay Alex, there's not much to do today and not much paperwork too, I'll free up your schedule for the next few days to rest." Alex smiled at the thought of resting and headed down to the parking lot and got in the car before being driven to the villa.
