"How can I be at peace, Cardinal Dominici? Things are so difficult for me that I feel I might die," I muttered, leaving without saying another word, my cloak flying through the air as I strode down the corridors of the Papal Palace. I returned to my and Cesare's room, sitting beside him, my heart aching because I could not tell him the truth about all my schemes.
