"No worries, Sebastian. You're always welcome. But are you sure, Jiàn Gāng? There's plenty of space here, and Frey's a fantastic cook."
Jiàn Gāng chuckled, a deep rumble that seemed to vibrate through the floorboards. "Appreciate the offer, Alex, but I know my limits. Can't stay cooped up in a fancy mansion for too long. Besides," he leaned closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "someone needs to keep an eye on things outside these walls. You know, just in case."
Alex nodded in understanding. The weight of Xiomara's vision still hung heavy in the air, and Jiàn Gāng's presence outside the mansion would be invaluable.
"Alright then," Alex said, a hint of disappointment in his voice. "Thanks for coming, both of you. And hey," he added, turning to Xiomara with a playful smile
Jiàn Gāng looked at her. "Don't try anything funny with Alex while I'm gone, alright?"
