"It's more fun than fighting a strong opponent," Dante replied with a shrug.

Back on the eastern front, the initial determination of the samurai had waned. Many had fallen, leaving only Akiko and her ten-tailed fox, Kitsu, standing against Solvizath.
"Hmm... we sent demons to the Land of the Rising Sun," Solvizath mused, her voice deceptively calm. "They say the humans there are difficult to fight, but perhaps it's just a rumor?"
"Kitsu, back to the shadows!" Akiko commanded, her voice firm.
With a smooth, silent leap, Kitsu vanished into the shadows behind Akiko.
"Now what? One by one? Don't worry, I won't summon my demons again, since yours seem to be doing a fine job of getting killed," Solvizath taunted, her voice laced with sarcasm.
