But then, something unexpected happened. Instead of continuing the rampage, Olivia's body began to convulse. Her towering demonic form shrunk, muscles rippling and bones groaning in protest. The three onlookers exchanged startled glances, unsure of what to expect.
A blinding light erupted from Olivia, forcing them to shield their eyes.
When the light subsided, Olivia stood before them, no longer the hulking demoness. In her place was a woman, toned and graceful, with a hint of otherworldly beauty. Her crimson eyes, however, still burned with a predatory glint.
"It finally finished... Perfect Evolution..." He clenched his fists, a dark energy crackling around his knuckles.
Olivia stared at her hands, slender and human-like. A smile played on her lips, a heartbreaking mixture of relief and something more sinister.
"This... my hands..." she whispered, finally able to touch the world without monstrous claws.
