The morning sun filtered through the ornate windows, casting dappled light across the room. Alex, clad in a comfortable pair of shorts and a crisp shirt, stood holding a rather peculiar bottle—a repurposed glass jar originally holding expensive preserves, now sporting a makeshift cork lid. Aer peered out from the top, her blue hair cascading down the side like a shimmering waterfall.
"So, this is the outside world?" Aer chirped, her voice tinged with wonder.
Alex chuckled, a low rumble in his chest. "Haha, yes, it is. A little different from your watery haven, isn't it?"
"It is! Where are we going?"
"Tailor shop," Alex replied. "I need to update my wardrobe. I can't exactly impress a lady in these training clothes."
Aer tilted her head, her brow furrowing in what could be interpreted as confusion by a water spirit. "Impress a lady?" she echoed, her voice laced with innocence.
"Well, let's just say I have a dinner date tonight."
