Chapter 43 - Ch 43: Hiku's journey and the gang (Part 3)

As they neared the gates of the Ingrasya kingdom, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The noble lady and the little girl, passengers in their carriage, expressed their excitement at the prospect of finally arriving at their destination. Their voices echoed with joy as they celebrated the nearing end of their journey. Yet, their jubilation was abruptly interrupted by a deafening noise that echoed from the direction of the kingdom's walls.

A chorus of panicked cries erupted from the surrounding area as it became apparent that the kingdom was under attack by a horde of orcs. The clash of swords and the sound of battle filled the air, painting a grim picture of the chaos that unfolded just beyond the city walls. Hiku's heart sank as he realized the gravity of the situation. "Oh no, this is bad," he muttered, his voice filled with concern.

Suddenly, a bolt of crimson lightning streaked across the sky, illuminating the chaos below. To Hiku's horror, he watched as two of the orcs were struck by the lightning, transforming them into infected elite orcs – formidable adversaries that posed an even greater threat to the kingdom's defenses. Nino and Magus, Hiku's companions, shared in his apprehension as they observed the unfolding events from a distance. "Not again," Nino muttered, his voice heavy with resignation.

As the battle raged on, Hiku's thoughts turned to the safety of the noble lady and the little girl. He knew that they were in grave danger if they remained within the vicinity of the kingdom's walls. With a sense of urgency, he focused his magic, creating a protective barrier around their carriage to shield them from harm.

Amidst the chaos, a surge of energy unlike anything Hiku had ever felt before filled the air. It was a power that rivaled even the divine energy he had encountered in the past – a power that could only belong to one person: Princess Hina. Tears of joy welled up in Hiku's eyes as he witnessed the incredible display of strength from afar.

Yet, his joy quickly turned to despair as he watched Hina engage in a futile battle against the unknown entity that had descended from the sky. Despite her valiant efforts, it was clear that she was no match for her adversary. With a heavy heart, Hiku fell to his knees, his voice trembling with emotion as he cried out her name in desperation.

In that moment, Hiku realized the enormity of the situation. If Hina were to fall, it would spell disaster for humanity as a whole. With every fiber of his being, he prayed for her safety, knowing that the fate of the kingdom – and perhaps the world itself – rested in her hands.

As Hina's lifeless form plummeted from the sky, a wave of despair washed over Hiku and his companions. Tears streamed down Hiku's cheeks as he watched helplessly, his heart heavy with grief. "Princess, no!" he cried out, his voice echoing with anguish.

Amidst the chaos of battle, the people of Ingrasya looked on in awe and horror at the incredible display of power unfolding before them. They marveled at the sheer magnitude of Hina's abilities, unable to comprehend how such immense power could be contained within one so young.

But as the reality of Hina's sacrifice began to sink in, panic gripped the hearts of the people. Their voices rose in a chorus of fear and uncertainty, their faces contorted with despair. In their eyes, they saw the impending doom that threatened to consume them all.

Hiku, his voice trembling with emotion, addressed the panicked crowd, his words ringing out with a sense of urgency. "You don't understand," he shouted, his words carrying across the chaos. "She is the daughter of the goddess! Without her, humanity faces certain extinction."

The gravity of Hiku's words hung heavy in the air, silencing the panicked murmurs of the crowd. Slowly, the realization dawned on them – that Hina's divine lineage was their only hope against the darkness that loomed on the horizon.

But even as they grappled with the enormity of the situation, a sense of helplessness descended upon them. What could they do in the face of such overwhelming power? How could they possibly stand against forces beyond their comprehension?

In the midst of their despair, Hiku's voice rang out once more, a beacon of hope in the darkness. "We mustn't lose faith," he declared, his words infused with determination. "Hina's sacrifice will not be in vain. We will honor her memory by standing together and fighting for our future."

His words struck a chord within the hearts of the people, filling them with a newfound resolve. Though the path ahead was fraught with peril, they knew that they could not falter. For Hina's sake, and for the sake of all humanity, they would rise to meet the challenges that lay ahead.

And so, amidst the chaos and despair, a glimmer of hope began to emerge. United by their shared determination, the people of Ingrasya prepared to face whatever trials awaited them, knowing that they carried with them the legacy of a true hero – Princess Hina, daughter of the goddess.
