Chapter 43 - chapter 43 <•>_<•> still in prince Karan mansion

Leo's eyes narrowed as he stepped out of the vampire realm and into the human world. The bright sunlight was a stark contrast to the dimly lit streets of the vampire kingdom, and Leo's sensitive eyes winced in response.

He was accompanied by his friend, a fellow vampire named Lucas. Lucas was a skilled hacker and had been instrumental in helping Leo track down Emily.

As they walked through the bustling streets of the human city, Leo's phone buzzed with an incoming call. He answered, his expression darkening as he listened to the voice on the other end.

"What do you mean he's in the hospital?" Leo growled, his voice low and menacing.

Lucas raised an eyebrow, sensing the tension in Leo's voice. "What's wrong?" he asked, but Leo just shook his head.

"I'll deal with it later," Leo said, his eyes flashing with anger. "Let's focus on finding Emily first."

Lucas nodded, and the two vampires continued their search. They had tracked Emily to a large mansion on the outskirts of the city, and Leo's instincts told him that she was being held captive inside.

As they watched the mansion from a distance, Leo's tablet buzzed with an incoming message. He smiled, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

"It's done," he said, showing Lucas the message on his tablet. "The cameras are in place, and we'll be able to monitor Emily's movements from now on."

Lucas nodded, his eyes scanning the mansion. "Let's get inside and see what we can find," he said, his voice low and deadly.

Meanwhile, inside the mansion, Emily was waking up from a restless sleep. She remembered Prince Karan's words, telling her that he would be back the next day. She also remembered the food and drinks he had left for her in the fridge.

Emily's stomach growled with hunger, and she slowly got out of bed. She made her way to the kitchen, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger.

As she opened the fridge, Emily's eyes widened in surprise. The fridge was stocked with all her favorite foods, and there was even a note from Prince Karan, telling her to eat and drink as much as she wanted.

Emily's instincts screamed at her to be cautious, but her hunger and thirst got the better of her. She ate and drank, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.

But as she turned to leave the kitchen, Emily's foot slipped on a patch of spilled water. She fell, her head hitting the marble floor with a sickening crack.

Everything went black.

When Emily came to, she was lying in her bed, her head throbbing with pain. She remembered falling in the kitchen, but she had no idea how she had gotten back to her room.

As she sat up, Emily noticed that her injury had been cleaned and bandaged. There was also a note on her bedside table, telling her to rest and recover.

Emily's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with suspicion. Who had helped her? And why?

As she looked around the room, Emily's eyes landed on a small camera hidden in the corner. She felt a surge of anger and fear, realizing that she was being watched.

As Emily sat in her bed, she picked up the note that had been left on her bedside table. It was written in elegant handwriting, and the words seemed to dance across the page.

"Dear Emily," the note read. "I'm so sorry you got hurt. I've taken care of your injury, and I've left some food and water for you in the kitchen. Please rest and recover. You're safe for now."

Emily's eyes scanned the note, searching for any clues about who might have written it. But there was no signature, no indication of who had helped her.

It wasn't until she read the note again, more slowly this time, that Emily noticed a small phrase tucked away at the bottom of the page.

"Wait for Leo. He's coming for you."

Emily's heart skipped a beat as she read the words. Who was Leo? And why was he coming for her?

She didn't remember anyone named Leo, but there was something about the name that seemed familiar. Emily's mind was a jumble of confusion and fear, but she knew one thing for sure: she had to wait for Leo.

Later that evening, Prince Karan's friend and Leo's secret friend, Lucas, walked into Leo's office. Lucas was a tall, imposing figure with piercing blue eyes and jet-black hair. He greeted Leo politely, but his eyes were filled with concern.

"Don't you care about her at all?" Lucas asked, his voice low and urgent. "She's being drugged, Leo. We have to get her out of there."

Leo's expression was calm, but his eyes flashed with anger. "We have to watch him," Leo said, his voice dripping with venom. "We can't let our guard down for a second."

Lucas nodded, his eyes never leaving Leo's face. "If anything happens to her, your revenge is void and useless," Lucas said, his voice filled with warning.

Leo's face went white with rage, and he slammed his fist on the desk. "I didn't want my powers to be within her," Leo growled, his voice low and menacing. "Why must either one of us fall in love? Everything is stressful."

Lucas took a step back, his eyes wide with surprise. "Get her out of there, and I'll help you," Lucas said, his voice filled with determination. "Everything will be less difficult."

Leo's expression softened, and he nodded. "You're right," he said, his voice filled with resolve. "I'll get her out of there, no matter what it takes."

As Lucas walked out of the office, he couldn't help but think that this was going to be a long and difficult battle. But he was determined to help Leo, no matter what.

And as he walked away, Lucas couldn't help but think that this was all going to be worth it. After all, if Leo was happy, Lucas would be happy too. And who knows, maybe this would even help Lucas find his own true love.

The thought made Lucas smile, and he walked away with a newfound sense of determination. He was going to help Leo, and he was going to make sure that Emily was safe.

No matter what it took.
