*********The Shadow of the Past********
Edward, Emily's grandfather, paced back and forth in his dimly lit study, his eyes clouded with worry. He couldn't shake off the feeling that he had made a terrible mistake, one that would haunt Emily for the rest of her life.
Sixteen years ago, Edward had made a desperate decision to save Emily's life. He had promised her to the world-renowned Doctor Karan, a miracle worker in the human realm. At the time, Edward had thought it was the only way to save his granddaughter's life.
But now, as he looked back, Edward realized that he had made a deal with the devil himself. Doctor Karan, or Prince Karan, as he was known in the Vampire Realm, had an ulterior motive for saving Emily's life.
Edward's eyes widened as he remembered the look in Prince Karan's eyes when he had first laid eyes on Emily. It was a look of obsession, of possession. Prince Karan had been drawn to Emily like a moth to a flame, and Edward had unwittingly handed her over to him.
As Edward's thoughts spiralled out of control, he knew he had to warn Emily. He tried calling her, but her phone was switched off. Panic set in as he realized he had no way of reaching her.
In desperation, Edward decided to visit Emily in her dreams. He had always possessed a unique gift, one that allowed him to enter people's subconscious minds. It was a gift he had never used before, but he knew it was the only way to reach Emily now.
As Edward focused his mind, he felt himself being pulled into Emily's dream world. The scene before him was surreal, with Emily walking through a dark forest, Prince Karan's voice echoing in her mind.
Edward's heart skipped a beat as he realized that Prince Karan was already manipulating Emily's subconscious. He knew he had to act fast, to warn Emily of the danger that lurked in the shadows.
With a deep breath, Edward stepped forward, his voice echoing in Emily's mind. "Emily, beware of Prince Karan. He is not what he seems. He has an ulterior motive for his actions, and it's not in your best interest."
As Edward's words faded away, he saw Emily's eyes flicker open. She was aware of his presence, and she knew that he was trying to warn her.
But as Edward turned to leave, he felt a presence behind him. It was Prince Karan, his eyes blazing with anger.
"You should not have interfered, Edward," Prince Karan hissed, his voice dripping with malice. "Now, you will never be able to warn Emily again."
As Prince Karan's words echoed in Edward's mind, he felt himself being pulled back into his own body. He was trapped, unable to move or speak.
And as he lay there, helpless and unable to warn Emily, Edward knew that he had made a terrible mistake. He had underestimated Prince Karan's power, and now Emily was in grave danger.
