Lav's laughter filled the Porsche, her satisfaction obvious as she scrolled through the news. The way Enzo had pathetically tried to shift the blame onto Evelynne amused her to no end. He was so foolish to believe such a flimsy lie would be able to deceive the public.
"You should have seen his face when he begged me not to leak the messages" Eve remarked with a sly smile from the passenger seat. Indeed. The very ally Lav had nurtured for years sat beside her—Evelynne Adella. Everything had gone according to plan.
Lav had carefully planted Eve into Enzo's life, letting her roots entwine so deeply that she could tear his world apart from within. Initially, Eve had just been a bartender, an ordinary girl in a messy situation. Both of them still remembered that night vividly.
