"Strap him to the chair," she ordered in a firm, cold tone, her eyes never leaving John. One of the men immediately rushed forward, eager to do her bidding without hesitation.
"What are you doing? Let go of me! I am a government official!" John's voice trembled with both fear and outrage, but his desperate words fell on deaf ears as the men strapped him down with ruthless efficiency.
"Ha ha ha, Mr. Cowell," Sophie chuckled darkly, her lips curling into a smile that never reached her cold eyes. "You really are quite amusing. You claim to be a government official, yet you've enslaved yourself to corruption." She watched with a sinister satisfaction as the last strap was pulled tight around his wrists, pinning him to the chair.
"Do you know what the chair you're sitting on is?" she asked, her voice laced with a mockery that made her words sting. She stepped closer, her presence looming over him.
