"Robert Rudrick is currently on the run from the police," Shane added.
"What's his crime?" Sophie asked as her eyes grew distant.
"He was accused of being involved in the kidnapping case of a young girl. Evidence was submitted along with a personal witness, but he was never arrested, and the case was closed," Shane said as his eyes widened and turned to Sophie.
"Hmm, who laid the complaint?" she asked.
"I don't know. I did not involve myself in his case; I only told the police to reopen the case," he replied.
