"Keep quiet, and I might just let you go," she whispered coldly, her voice dripping with false promise. The girl, trembling and desperate, obeyed, her breath hitching in her throat. But she wasted no time. With a swift, practiced motion, she slashed her dagger across the girl's neck. Warm blood gushed over her hand as she pushed the limp body aside, letting it join the pile of her fallen comrades.
"Foolish," she muttered, her voice barely a breath. "Did you really think I'd let you live? You know how the Center works." Her words were laced with disbelief and disdain . There was no mercy here, no room for weakness, it was either kill or be killed at all times .She wiped the blood from her blade, her small hands trembling ever so slightly.
