Rustle.
Inside of a dense forest a bush shook slightly and a small rabbit hopped into view. The sound of birds could be heard throughout the forest, in which the breeze caressed the trees lightly. The forest itself was quite vibrant, with bright green trees and colorful plants. If a passerby were to see the forest at that moment, they would think to themselves that it looks very harmonious. Inside this forest, the breeze picked up slightly, pushing leaves around, and the air seemed to drop in temperature. Strange looking animals turned their heads in the direction the wind was coming from. In a clearing of the forest, a man suddenly appeared. He seemed to be asleep and he slowly opened his eyes.
"W-what? What is this?" The man looking up at the sky spoke as a creature similar to what he'd call a pterodactyl flew above him. He sat up in a daze as he tried to understand what was happening.
'Where is this place? Didn't I die?' The man thought to himself.
His name was Lerio and he was an unemployed man who recently had his whole life torn apart. Lerio was part of the Yu family who had a moderate influence in Japan and had a long history of wealth in construction services. Lerio spent his childhood messing around as a "young master" and when he finally took the exams for college, he ended up failing which caused tension in the family. His father wanted to disinherit him from the Yu families business and give the position to his younger brother Lin, but his mother convinced him otherwise. Lerio was sent to a community college by his family, and was able to get a degree in Associate of Arts after 2 years.
Lerio ended up at a company that created digital art for advertisers, and he miserably worked in a small cubicle for 3 long years until his family told him the news that they had arranged a marriage between him and the young Mrs. Hana. Mrs.Hana was a young tycoon in Japan who many men fawned over, Lerio was included in this group. Lerio met Hana very quickly after this news, and the two hit it off very well. After around a year Lerio had fallen in love. Hana had hugged Lerio while admitting that she reciprocated his feelings. Lerio assumed that his life had finally begun to come together, and he was very happy that he was able to find joy in his arranged marriage.
One day Hana had come to Lerio asking him to transfer herself as the owner of the Yu families inheritance. Lerio decided that as Hana's husband, anything that was his should also be hers and he agreed to it. Lerio had never been one who wanted to work so when he was married he lived his life lounging around off of the money Hana and the Yu family had. A few days after Lerio transferred the inheritance to his loving wife, he walked into the apartment that they shared together and discovered a scene that he would never forget. On the couch, Hana and his younger brother Lin were doing something that should only be done between married couples, and he stood there shocked. Hana looked up at him and her eyes opened widely.
"Lerio! It's not what you think!" She screamed and spoke shakily. She pushed Lin off of her and stood up while quickly wrapping herself in a blanket. Lin on the other hand smirked and walked up to his brother, while putting his hand on his shoulder.
"Yo! My bro is finally home. Leo I'm sorry you had to find out this way, but me and Hana are in love. Unfortunely for you, you've already signed the papers, so me and Hana will be able to live comfortably for the rest of our lives together." Lin spoke evilly and smiled at his brother whom he hated. As the younger brother who worked hard to get to where he was, Lin hated his older brother for being a slacker and still getting the approval of his mother and father to inherit the families wealth.
"Hana? What's the meaning of this? Please explain it to me, I'm willing to listen…. If it's an honest mistake I can forgive you. I love you Hana." Lerio ignored his brother for now and looked at Hana with slightly damp eyes. Lerio truly loved Hana, and even though he was not one to be forgiving, he would do it for her. For the one he loved. He would forgive her… as no one is perfect. Lerio believed that it was his duty to forgive his wife for a mistake as a loyal husband.
Hana looked at Lerio while biting her lip. She walked towards the brother and spoke in a small voice.
"Lerio…. Lerio I'm sorry…. But it's true… I don't love you. I met Lin many years ago, and we've been in love for a long time. I have come to know you quite well and you are a kind man…"
"I- I can't believe it. I won't believe it!" Lerio's voice shook as he stumbled over his words in utter shock.
"Since you know me so well don't you know how much I love you? Hana please tell me, I know that you love me too.. this is all a joke right? Hana I know that you love to joke around hahaha." Lerio spoke again, and laughed with tears threatening to fall.
"Lerio I'm sorry… but I have to do this for Lin." Hana hid her face in Lins back. Even though she had planned this all from the moment she met Lerio, she wasn't completely heartless and didnt want to face the consequences of her actions.
Lin smirked and turned around wrapping Hana in his arms.
"There there, it's all ok Hana. Don't worry, this wretch will never bother us again."
Lerio just watched as his wife was being comforted for the "hardship" that she was facing and something tore inside of him. Lerio laughed while shaking his head.
"Hahaha I see, I see! Fine then! Since you are such a bitch, you never deserved to be with me in the first place!" Lerio immediately turned around and walked out of the apartment complex. When he stepped outside he felt a drop of rain fall on his cheek and he looked up at the dreary sky and suddenly the tears that were still held in his eyes finally fell.
'She really cared more about the money….That bitch! I hope you enjoy getting toyed by my brother, there's no way that jerk could ever love anyone. He will throw you away as soon as he gets my money.' His teeth gritted as his mind went through a turmoil of emotions.
Lerio walked throughout the city with a dazed look and sat on a bench at a bus stop. He watched as happy couples laughed and smiled, and their children held their hands.
'I also wanted a family...' He thought to himself as he stared blankly. The light next to him showed that the bus should be arriving soon and he stood up and walked closer to the road. He felt his hair drooping as it was soaked from the rain and he just stared at his feet not hearing the loud honking and commotion around him. He looked to his left as a bright light shone in his face. His eyes widened and he suddenly felt himself laying somewhere hard. He heard people screaming around him, but for some reason it didn't bother him. The only thing that bothered him was how uncomfortable he felt. His body was turning numb, but he still felt the road which was hard and painful. Lerio sighed to himself and slowly closed his eyes.
'I never imagined that my life which seemed to have just begun would end in such a horrible way…' After this thought, Lerio stopped moving, and a tear could be seen slipping down his cheek.
*Scanning hosts body. Conditions met. Condion met: death. Commencing transfer.* A robotic voice sounded and the wind began to speed up. Lerios body began to glow slightly before he suddenly disappeared leaving the spectators in awe. Near the group of people the air distorted slightly and a figure in a cloke stepped out.
"Master is coming, I'm sorry for you all but you must forget this happened." The cloaked figure whispered while erasing the minds of those that witnessed Lerios unfortunate end.
Back to the present Lerio had already stood up as he gazed around the unfamiliar forest.
'Could it be those novels about transmigration are true?' Lerio wondered curiously. He had read novels where the protagonist is transferred to another world and gained all kinds of OP magical abilities.
"Shazam!" He yelled expecting something to happen. Of course, nothing did.
"Fireball! Ice Spikes! Wind Slash!…. WTF!" He grumbled quite annoyed, aren't protagonists supposed to be overpowered?
*Welcome Master*
"Who?" Lerio was startled hearing the voice, it reminded him of an ai voice.
*Master, I am the System. I will help Master to get stronger and help him to create his Dungeon.*
"System? I have heard of this before too… maybe there have been transmigrators on Earth?" Lerio was shocked at the idea, but it did sound a bit reasonable.
"System, what do you mean create my dungeon?" He asked.
*You are now a Dungeon Master, which means that you can build and control dungeons. I am here to help you in creating successful dungeons.*
'I'm a Dungeon Master?' Lerio had never heard of this title before, so he was unsure of what it entailed.
*Master, part of the Systems abilities allow for you to see the status of things. Say Status to see your status.* The System replied in its robotic tone.
"Status." Lerio said aloud.
In front of Lerio a purple transparent screen appeared with a list of information.
Status: [Dungeon Master #####]
Race: Dungeon Master
Level: 1
Mana: 100
Strength: 100
Agility: 50
Speed: 50
Mental Strength: 80
Defense: 100
Skills: N/A
Lerio stared at his status in shock.
"Is this really how a level 1 status looks? System?"
*Master, you are no longer a lower being. The status of a human is remarkably lower than that of a Dungeon Master. Even the lucky humans only have stats above 10 when they are at level 1. Demonic beasts are different however, many have very high levels of strength from the start. Demonic beasts, demons, etc are able to evolve once they reach a certain level and this significantly increases their stats. And while beings such as humans, demi-humans, immortals, etc are much weaker to start with, once they reach level 10 they can change their class to fit their strengths, which allows them to grow remarkably.*
"I see… so I am no longer human?" Lerio was feeling overwhelmed with his new reality. After suddenly being transmigrated, he isn't even a human? Lerio looked at his body. He noticed how he didn't seem all that different, but he felt as though he could easily beat 10 of his previous selves without breaking a sweat.
"System do you have like a, uh, mirror function?" He felt helpless as he asked.
*Master you can buy a mirror if you would like to with DP that you earn. The system will give you 1,000 free DP to get started.*
'DP?' Lerio thought. It must be a type of currency.
"Alright then I'll buy a mirror."
*Master, would you like to buy the cheapest mirror? The system recommends this option.*
"That sounds fine. Alright, buy." Lerio said to the system.

Lerio watched with curiosity as the space in front of him shook and a purple fissure appeared. A mirror appeared out of the fissure, to which he grabbed and brought up to his face.
"What in the heck?!" Lerio was shocked by his current appearance. He stared at the captivating boy in the mirror. In his past life, Lerio was definetly what you would consider to be a "looker", but now it was as though every flaw had been corrected on his face.
He couldn't see a single blemish on his skin, which seemed to glow slightly in the light. He had become noticeably paler, but it didn't make him look sickly. His hair and eye color had changed, his once black hair had become a very shiny white and his eyes had become red. His eyes now seemed to be similar to those of a cats, with a slitted pupil rather than a circular one. Although, there was one thing that didn't change… which was his height of 5'7.
"It seems those novels don't lie- the main character is always the most handsome!" He spoke in a smug voice that annoyed the system who watched with second hand embarrassment as Lerio made faces at himself in the mirror.
*Master, you are not a "main character". This is not a novel, there's no need to feel special.* The system spoke in a robotic voice, but Lerio still felt that it somehow sounded annoyed.
"System, just look at this face! My damned brother would spit blood if he could see me now." He proudly spoke.
*Master, you are still 5 inches shorter than your brother. I thought humans would already have their growth spurts by now.*
"Just let me live in my fantasy!" Lerio shouted at the system, who ruined his performance.
"System, did my appearance change because I am no longer human?"
*Yes and no. The Masters body was damaged so badly, and you succumbed to your injuries. The current body is not your original one, it is a body that has been created by The System and bestowed onto you. You were a slacker in your previous world, and didn't take care of yourself, which caused many impurities within your body. The current body you inhibit has no such impurities. Masters hair and eye appearance is due to the bloodline inheritance. The appearance of other races in this world differ similarly, so don't be too surprised when you see this worlds inhabitants.*
"I see. So my appearance might end up being an issue…before that, could I get some clothes? I don't want to stand out even more." His clothes, which he was wearing during the accident, had blood covering every section and were extremely torn.

"Wow! These are nice!" His clothes had glowed purple and suddenly, he was wearing an outfit that befitted an adventurer. He had a pair of long pants, boots and a tunic with short sleeves. A purple light shown around him again and he donned a dark gray hooded cloak.
*Master, I recommend that you find a town to spend the night in. We can discuss dungeon building tomorrow.*
"Alright System, I'll listen to you." He said with a slight smile.
'Maybe this world will be a fresh start.'
