Chapter Fifty-Three:
Akand Village
"Why is it so important to protect my blood?" I seriously asked the head leader of the Akand Village.
Ansel Truman the head leader and my guardian, he is also one of the powerful Warlock that came from Cabot Tribe the one who protects this entire island and the entire villagers.
"Because you are the savior." He simply answered.
I silently sighed before I smiled and answered. "Well, if this blood is so important then what should I do now?"
"What do you mean you?"
"I don't mean anything but it's just really amazing that my father almost never let me get hurt and even you don't want to see me hurt. Trying not to let me bleed, and when I ask my father, he always told me that my blood is so precious and I should never ever let myself be cut or be wounded. He badly wanted to secure my blood and he even put me to a place where flowers bloom. Meanwhile, whenever I ask you about it you will always answer me that I'm a savior. Which I question why am I a savior?"
"It is too early for you to understand what is set."
I take a deep breath. "Alright, I already know. You won't answer me straight." I said that he just smiled. "Well, I can still find out the whole truth." I added before I asked another question. "So, what is the 'Maiden's Grail' that Prince Kanik is looking for?" I asked since it was the reason why Kanik continue to go back here in our village.
"Something that will give strong power to the person who gets it," he replied and once again he answered it in very simple way.
I sighed. "Indeed. There are secrets that are not yet timely to know so go ahead and I will wait until the time comes that I know the truth."
Present…
"Are you thinking deeply?"
Amy suddenly spoke next to me. "Oh, sorry! I didn't notice you."
"No worries our boss wasn't here." She replied. "So, what are you thinking?"
"Nothing much."
"Really?"
"Uhm," I answered and nodded. "But, well… I will admit that. I was thinking about how I could introduce my boyfriend to my father."
"Wow! You're serious with him?"
"Yes, I am. I love him more than myself." I seriously and honestly answered.
"Oh!" she cringes. "So, serious." She said that I just simply laugh. "But seriously, wouldn't he rather think of a way for him to get to know your parents?"
"Maybe you are right…" if we came from a normal family. "Just, too complicated! I can't explain it clearly but it will be a problem on my part. You don't know my father. It's just hard to speak. But when it comes to me, I know he loves me very much but I'm not sure if he will accept my boyfriend once I introduce him."
Deep into the Mountains
"You are here again." Melite the river Nymph said.
I smile at her. "You don't seem to miss me."
"No, I am not." She seriously answered.
"Ouch! You're hurting me."
"What else do you need? Aren't you and Duke Haimon fine, so you don't need my help anymore, right?"
"You don't seem to be my friend. I just really missed you so I came here to see you. But you don't seem to like what I did so I'm just leaving."
"Wait!" I was about to leave but she stops me.
"What?" I asked without looking back at her.
"Alright, fine! I'm sorry." She spoke. "I'm just upset because, ever since you had a boyfriend you seem to have forgotten me."
I felt in her tone the sadness and pain because of what I did so I immediately face her and I immediately approached her to give her a hug. "Don't you ever think about that!" I spoke. "I will never ever forget you no matter what happens." I sincerely added.
Afterwards…
"What is your plan now?" Melite asked me while we both looking up the blue sky.
"The truth, I really don't know." I honestly answered. "I know my father wants to meet Haimon but when that thing happens a big problem will occur."
"Why didn't your father just introduce you to the public? So that you no longer have to worry about how you are going to introduce who you really are."
I smile and I admit it, she was right. If only my father let me known to all maybe it will be easy for me to introduce myself to Haimon. Though, the question will be, will Haimon fall in love with me if he knows who am I?
"Haist! I hate it!" I exclaimed. "I'm having a hard time, Mel. I love both men in my life but I'm worried about the outcome when they get to know each other. I don't know what I will do once I need to choose between them."
"That… might be your greatest problem." She replied. "But what is the reason why your father did hide you from everyone?"
"Because of my blood," I said.
"Your blood? And what's in your blood?"
"One told me my blood is precious while other one, my blood is a savior."
"What was that mean?"
I sighed. "I really don't know." I honestly answered. "In fact, I really want to know the real reason why they just protect me like that. As if, I am too precious that no one has to know. I'm like gold that no one ever seen and my father and the others badly wanted to protect me. I even asked Dealla, my guardian half-blood. Why did she need to protect me so badly that I should never get hurt? But in the end, I could only hear the same answer I always heard from my father that I'm precious. The blood that runs through me… sometimes I am thinking what if I try to bleed myself? What will I find out? What will happen? I'm curious."
