Chapter Fifty:
Tonight, I feel like something bad is going on. And no matter what I do just to not notice the change tonight still nothing has happened. I still end up noticing it and when I walk around the forest, I can clearly smell the fresh blood that surrounds there. I try to ignore it but the scent won't go away and I just follow it through.
Deep into the forest I found myself terrified from what I just saw, several bodies have been scattered around and looking at it I already knew they already lost their lives and their bloods. They were not even bathed in their own blood and the reason why I smell the blood it is because of the creature that drank their blood. The one that became the source of the strong smell of blood that mixed into the air.
I walk as I pass through those dead bodies that I can count at least eight of them and went on to where I strongly smell the blood. From the end of the path, I saw him standing facing the cliff with so much proud as if what he had done was the right thing to do. I look at him and I already knew who he is.
"Prince Kanik, what do I do with those bodies?" I heard his right hand asked.
"Just burn them, besides I did not let them drink my blood so they are no use to me."
So, he didn't even give those people a chance to live again even if they became vampires. Why? What was his reason for doing this to those people?
That question marks my mind and in the end I learned why.

Downtown
Monday, morning…
"Liraz!"
I turned around to face Amy she is my friend here in the flower shop that I've been working at because ever since I am not allowed to be exposed, I choose to live a normal life. I live as a normal person just like what my friend told me to do.
'Be free. Don't let them stop you from doing what you want.' He said the exact words that his friend told him before he decides to leave everything and do what he wants with his life. And he was right I don't want anyone to stop me from doing what I want. That is why I work here in downtown even though Wei objected to my decision in the end I was able to make her agree with what I want although with one condition that I already been approached. She became my shadow just to protect me in case I'm in danger even if she's a human.
"Good morning, Amy!" I greeted with a smile.
"Good morning!" she greeted back. "And I'm glad that you're finally back."
I've been gone for one week due to my special decision. That decision was to be with Haimon after I decided to meet him personally. I planned everything and I'm not denying it even though it turns out that I was the one who flirted with the two of us because of the way I did it just to be with Haimon. After three weeks of not seeing him, I felt very sad so when I saw him again, I decided to give all my time just to be with him. That is why I take a live for one week just to stay by his side and now I'm back at work.
"Did you miss me too much?"
"Not that I miss you but someone came here three times just to see you."
"Three times?"
"Yes."
"Who is that?"
"At first I did not know him but when I last saw him, I was sure he was from a royal family."
"How did you say that? What is your proved?"
"Because of what he rode and who was with him there." I curiously look at her. "I know you're curious already, so I tell you. He was with a Prince. The Prince of Manu Clan."
In this year and time only a few know about the two clans and Amy is one of them so I was not surprised when she told me about the prince of the Manu Clan. Even though she is just a normal person, she is the daughter of the leader of the mediator for those like us with unique powers and abilities. In short, her father and the others with them are the protectors of the Human Clan from the Supernatural, just like us.
"You mean…" they were here... but maybe they still don't know who I really am? I would have liked to say that to Amy but I chose to keep it to myself because I also hid my true identity from her so it's only right that I keep my question to myself. "Anyway, what does he need from me?" I asked instead.
"Well, it looks like he knows you so that is why he persevered to see you again."
He knows me? But then I don't remember if he was with Prince Kieran then he might be… "Kanik…" without thinking I said it aloud.
"Kanik?" Amy asked with curious stare.
"Ow, did I say it out loud?"
"Yes, you did." She spoke. "But anyway, who is he? And why did he ride in the Prince's chariot."
"He… was working for the Prince so he rode there."
"Oh, really! Then, he might be the Prince's right hand." She said it as a fact.
"Indeed."
"Then, how did you two met?"
"That… is a long story." I replied. "And I'll tell you after our work."
"But--"
"No buts Amy." I said cutting her off. "We have to open now because it's going to be eight o'clock. The owner will scold us if we got late to open her store."
"Oh, no! I forgot! I'm sorry!" she answered. "Alright, you promise to tell me about that Kanik?"
"Yes, I will. I promise." I said before we begin our day at work.
