Eighty:
'Memories of the Past'
For some reason, I just wanted to cut their supposed to be battle and called out his name yet I am not intended to let him hear me calling. Though he heard it and went at my side in a hurry.
"What do you want to say?" He worriedly asked and I can even read it through his face, but why? I have no clue and who was this 'Aoife' he was calling.
…
"How long are you going to hide behind Elbrus?" suddenly someone asked me and when I look back it was no other than Ilmatar and she was seriously staring at me.
'But why?' I look back to asked Elbrus however he wasn't there anymore and the place I'm in suddenly change. 'What! Where am I?'
"How long are you going to turn a blind eye to what's going on in Elbrus, Aoife?"
I turned around to meet her eyes. "I had no intention of turning a blind eye I just couldn't do anything to save him."
"Are you sure you cannot save him?"
"What do you want me to do?" I directly asked. 'Why am I talking as if–– no! Is this my, past memories?' I suddenly realized it though how did this happen?
"Take part of his suffering."
"How?"
"Aren't you afraid of what could it be?" she surprisingly asked as if she really doesn't expect me to asked.
"Why? Isn't that what you want to hear from me? And besides, Elbrus already takes his part even though the punishment given to him isn't right, because he was innocent enough to receive a punishment that could cost him his life. So, what should I afraid of Goddess Ilmatar?" I seriously stated.
"If so… then, take the 'Aduma abr Vergathos' and take part of the journey of reincarnation. That way, Elbrus' punishment will decrease or rather will finally end."
"Then bring me to where it reside."
…
"Nooo!"
I can hear Elbrus voice from a far and I knew why he was screaming so loud, it isn't because of the pain he was experienced or still experiencing right at this moment but because of the knowledge of me leaving him to ascend on a journey that can help him to lessen his punishment.
However, my heart sink in to a deepest darkness as I go further and further away from the paradise Elbrus done for me.
'But then, if it was a paradise, why Ilmatar found it? Why?'
…
Darya Realm
"Goddess Ilmatar." A guardian of this realm quickly approached us and greeted Ilmatar, while I keep myself in silence as I listen to them.
"Bring her to Einat." She ordered.
"As you command." He answered before guiding me to a place where I can only see endless water that flows freely all over the place. When I look back, I only saw Ilmatar's back knowing I quietly followed she left me without a word.
'Are you just going to let her decide to what you have to do?!' I shouted to Aoife but then she couldn't hear me. 'No! You don't have to do this! Stop!' a continue screaming but to no avail
'You are only exhausting yourself, Young Lady.' Suddenly a voice of a male speaks up and to my surprised he even showed himself to me.
'Wh-who are you?'
'You don't remember me as I expected.' He said before turning his head from the direction I last saw Aoife gone through. 'You were there from the past.' He begins, 'and now here you are watching the events happened a long, long time ago.'
'So, I forgot everything just because of the water coming from this place?'
'Not only simple drinking water flows in this area. The water here is from the tears of our Mother's sadness and because of those tears. She also let all her sadness flow and forgets it forever. The reason why the water that flows here taste bitter, and the bitterness caused by this water erases all the memories made by someone who died and it will help them to live and create another memories to live their lives.' He explained before turning his gaze back at me. 'And you became part of it, by drinking the water in this place.'
'Elbrus.' I spoke the name I badly wanted to remember. 'What happened to him?'
'That memory isn't a part of these memories you've been seeing.'
"Then, if this is not the sum of my memories, where can I complete all of my memories of my past life?' I firmly asked.
'You can't.'
'Why?'
'Because it will cost you your life,' he seriously answered that made me speechless. 'The suffering that you have experienced, are experiencing and will experience is not enough of the suffering of Elbrus.'
'What do you mean?'
He smiles at me before he answered. 'Only he can answer that question.'
…
I was about to asked once again when suddenly someone tap onto my shoulder that made me to look back only to find Dione standing right next to me.
"Are you alright?" she worriedly asked.
I quickly look back only to find myself standing from where Dione just left me. And it only means, I came back to my reality.
"I'm–– where is El-A-Almos?" I was about to mention Elbrus name, luckily, I immediately thought that I had mentioned the wrong name and quickly changed it to Almos. "Have you seen him?" I asked after taking a deep breath.
"Yes. I saw him but then…"
"What?"
"I don't think it will be better if you'll see him. So for now, you have to wait."
"O-okay. I will." I just agreed even though I agreed against my will.
"Better. Now, go rest for today."
"Thank you Dione." I said and smiled and was about to go back to my room when I remember the guy I'm chatted just earlier. 'Who…' I asked myself.
"What is it, Jeanne?"
"Oh, it's nothing!" I answered and just go back to my room in silence.
