Chapter 64 - President

Sixty-Four:

One Week Later

I get used to my living, my normal days. Yet, there's some doubts slowly eating me up. That I keep ignoring as the days passes by. I even became more attentive on attending Chadd's practice even though I keep on hearing whispers from… I don't know where.

Until, I get used to it. Everything around me is totally back to normal. And I really thought everything is clear until this person suddenly came in to the picture.

"Did you already accept this fate you were in?" He asked and for some reason, his voice sound familiar though I couldn't remember where and when I heard it.

I quickly turned my head to see who own that voice but to my dismay he already passed by and all I could see is his back as he walks away from me.

"Anne!" I was about to follow him when Chadd suddenly came unexpected. "Hey! Are you alright?"

"Yes I'm fine." I said and even though I wanted to run towards the mysterious guy, I just can't for a reason I don't know why. "Did… did you know who that person is?"

"Who?"

"That guy on the right, who is he?"

"Oh, he is our class president."

'Class president? But… why I did not know him?'

"Hey!" Chadd called out as he waves his hand in front of me.

I didn't even notice that I just freeze so sudden and my mind goes blank. And it's all because of that guy, the president, which I don't even remember.

"I wanted to talk to him." It was so sudden it surprised me.

"That's impossible."

"Why?"

"He's too busy as of the moment."

'Busy… then,' "does he know me?" I seriously asked.

"What are you saying? Do you think he will recognize you among the many students here? You are not even his friend so how does he know you."

He has a point our class president isn't my friend. Although, when we passed by each other, I knew he was talking to me and not to the person next to him.

"Well, just forget what I just said. I really thought he knew me when–– it's nothing." I quickly stop myself for telling what I just thought when he passed by and chose to leave it that way. "Let's go! Your first game of the season is about to start that is why you have to be on time."

"Alright, alright! Let's go!" he excitedly said and grab my hand. All of a sudden I felt horrible as if someone was staring at me and when I looked back to see who it was I was surprised to see him. He was intently looking at me and for some reason I felt that I know who he is yet I couldn't remember who he was. "Jeanne!"

Chadd's voice snaps me out from staring at our class president and once I blink my eyes he was gone. "Where is he?"

"Who?" Chadd immediately look through the place I was looking but he sees nothing. "What are you looking at?"

"No… nothing!" I said and look at him. "Let's go!" and I go first before my mind go crazy just because of one man that I don't even remember.

"How long are you going to ignore the truth?"

Again, I heard his voice as he passes by.

"Who–––" I was about to asked him but when I turned around I see no one.

"Hey! Who's your talking?" Claire asked me clueless of what I just heard and see.

"You didn't notice our class president?"

"Yes! I did notice him."

"Then, I am not crazy." I said almost a whispered.

"Are you looking for him?"

"Huh?" she suddenly asked. "There, he's talking with the other student council."

He was there? How? He's just passes through me then… "I think I'm going crazy." I spoke in a low tone.

"Jeanne! Are you alright?" she worriedly asked and I felt it too, the color of my face was all gone, I look pale and for a sudden I feel lighter before things go black and numb.

I woke up and saw a white ceiling above. It took me longer enough to realize I'm lying on the bed at the infirmary. When I finally regain enough strength I sit down at the bed before I open the curtain that separates me from the doctor's space.

"You're finally awake." The Doctor said as she smiles at me. "Are you feeling alright now?"

"Yes…" 'I think so.' I silently added to myself and slowly remembering the scene happened before I fainted. "Can I go back to my class now?" I quickly asked since that I'm fine now.

"If you are good then, you may." She answered and smiled.

I smiled. "Thank you, doctor."

As I walk back to my room, I suddenly stop as I think of our class president.

'He is the reason why I fainted!' I madly said to myself as I turned around and go straight at the class president's meeting room.

Class President's Meeting Room

Without thinking, I swing the door open not even knowing what I shall see behind that door.

"You–––" I was surprised when I saw not only our class president but also his committee having a meeting, which made me shrink in embarrassment because of my sudden intrusion. "I'm… I'm sorry!" I quickly blurted out before closing the door and run away as fast as I can.

Rooftop

'Oh, gosh Jeanne! That is the most dumbness thing you ever done in your life!' I shouted to myself and went straight at the rooftop.

From there, I take a deep breath and let the wind blow my face as I wish my embarrassment will fade away too.

"That was unexpected of you." Suddenly a familiar voice speaks to me.

When I look back I'm shocked seeing our class president suddenly pops out unnoticed that it made me speechless and blood gone out of me.
