Confronted by the view in front of him, Lucien was astonished wondering if he was dreaming , suddenly he felt the goosebumps tho he didn't know if it was from the gloomy weather or of something else .So, he quickly headed back to the mansion.
As Lucien hurried back, he closed the rusty door and quickly ran inside one of the rooms and sat down on old chair with odd feeling growing inside him. Starting as a faint unease and slowly morping into a heavy, inexplicable dread. He couldn't pinpoint it's origin, but it gnawed at his inside, twisting his thoughts into a tangled mess of confusion and fear.
Lucien mind replayed fragment of earlier, where he got outside of the mansion looking at the mind-blowing scene but at some moment he did felt like, someone was staring at him and gave him the sudden chills.
"Was I not supposed to go outside?, were there was some kind of weird monsters lurking in darkness ?"....Lucien's mind was running countless thoughts of worst case scenarios, that could led to his gruesome death in this unknown world, which he has no knowledge of.
As the feeling intensified, it clawed his chest, making it hard to breath. Lucien stood up abruptly, his chair scraping loudly against the wooden floor. He paced the room, back and forth trying to shake off the suffocating sensation, but it clung to him like a shadow. Unable to bear the silence, he finally spoke out loud, his voice trembling.
"What is happening to me?....Jesus, why do I feel like this?"
His words choed in the empthy room, offering no answer, only amplifying his isolation.
Trying to shake off this odd feeling, Lucien took a walk inside the old mansion also looking for any clue that he may stumble upon. While walking, through the endless hall of the mansion.
Lucien, feeling a strange mix of fear and curiosity, was irresistibly drawn towards the hidden room. The dimly lit corridor seemed to wishper secrets, heightening his anticipation. Each step echoed with a hesitant yet eager rhythm, as if the walls themselves were alive with mystery, the air grew colder, sending shivers down his spine, yet his curiosity propelled him forword. His heart raced, caught between the thrill of discovery and the dred of the unknown. Finally standing before the concealed door, Lucien hesitated, knowing that crossing it's threshold could unveil secrets he might never be able to forget.
Lucien was drawn towards that door as if there's a magnetic pull towards enigmatic, an unseen force that beckons with whispers of secrets untold. He traced his fingers along the intricated carvings, feeling for irregularities.
His hand paused over a slight indication. Pressing it, he heard a faint click. He pushed harder, and a hidden mechanism engaged, and with a loud sound, the door slide open, revealing a narrow staircase descending into darkness. Heart pounding, Lucien had ventured down, guided by the flickering light of a single, ancient lantern.
At the bottom of the staircase, Lucien found himself in a small, circular chamber. The air was thick with an otherworldly energy, and in the center of the room floated a pulsating, luminescent sphere, it radiated a gentle hum that resonated deep within his bones. He felt inexplicably drawn to it, as if it were calling to him.
Taking a deep breath, he reached out and touched it, the energy ball hovering serenely with blueish hue, slightly trembling the moment his fingers brushed the surface, the sphere begain to dissolve, it's light intensifying and flowing into him. Lucien felt a rush of warmth and a surge of memories that were both familiar and foreign.
Scenes of a past life, of places and people he had never known, flooded his mind.
Lucien saw himself as a different person, a guardian of an ancient relam, his spirit split in Manny parts to protect a great power. Scattered away in different parts of this world.
As one part of the energy merged with him, Lucien collapsed to the floor, overwhelmed by the influx of knowledge and power. He understood now that the energy ball had been his other half, a fragment of his spirit that had been hidden away for centuries.
The division had been necessary to safeguard the balance of the world, but now, with the merging, Lucien felt somewhat close to being whole for the first time in his life. Lucien was sure if he finds other missing parts of his soul, he will be whole again, tho he didn't know how many parts have been scattered across the world and where are they hidden, but he knew, once close enough, he will know it, how to find it.
Raising to his feet, Lucien was no longer a helpless and curious young man trying to figure out, about this unknown world. He was a guardian rborn, with the wisdom and strength of ages past coursing through him. The hidden room, once a place of mystery, had become a sanctuary of revelation.
As he assended the stairs and closed the door behind him, Lucien knew his life would never be the same. The power within him was both a gift and burden, the mansion's secrets had unveiled his true nature, and with it, his destiny. And in order to collect his other halfs of his soul. Lucien had to venture through the world and was ready to give whatever challanges lay ahade.
Tho Lucien was fused with only half of his soul. He was still not completely whole. So, some of the memories was still hazy in his head.
"So, that means, I have now power to teleport through space, I can manipulate the space as I want and can create my own domain?"
Lucien got chills just thinking about more, power he will get after completing fusing with all the scattered parts.
23 years of living in earth as a normal human being and finding out, him being an ancient entity and all the knowledge and powers, obviously took toll on Lucien. He somehow clamed his beating heart and with trembling hands, Lucien tested his power, focusing on a distant hall.
In an instant, he was there, the rush of wind and the sensation of displacement leaving him exhilarated and disoriented.
"Woa!...haha I guess I have to learn how to properly contol it ..I mean it's been a thousands of years since I last used my power and beside, I was used to be an ordinary human being afterall" ...says Lucien as he combed his long silky hair with hands trying to untangle his hair stands
As he continued to use his powers and with each leap, Lucien got used to properly control it, while marveling at the limitless possibilities of his powers. Days turned into weeks as Lucien experimented pushing the limits of his teleportation. With each successful jump his confident grew. As he delved deeper, his control over it grew more.
Lucien also discovered that he could teleport any objects as long as it's within his reach, tho he still didn't know if he could do the same with living being.
With this power Lucien dared to dream of a world where distance was no barrier and here the stars themself were within reach.
