"Do you want more My Lady?" Jophiel asked, her eyes falling on the empty cup. Elena had just drowned her third cup of tea in one seating, and she was nowhere close to stopping.
"Yes please," she replied. Jophiel held the jug and filled the cup. Elena took in a deep breath enjoying the calm and serene morning. Her eyes settled on the empty chair at the far end, her smile naturally disappearing. Why was he taking so long?
She could have asked Vathin about Gabriel's whereabouts but he took was nowhere to be seen. She took a sip of the tea. 'Just a little longer ', she thought. He'd promised her he'd come, so she had to wait.
"The tea is already cold My Lady. Do you want me to get some warm from the kitchen?"
"The temperature is perfect Jophiel. Maybe you might consider doing your other tasks," she pointed. The maid had been standing there since. Surely, she must be tired.
