"The wound hasn't festered yet My Lady." The royal apothecary expertly examined Elena's hand. His eyes curiously looked at the marks on her hand, a frown settling on his wrinkled face.
Elena was quick to catch his expression, her brows now furrowed. "What is it?" She asked, unable to retain her curiosity.
The apothecary run his fingers on the dark marks, his face growing a shade darker with each passing second. "These marks are rather unusual," he replied upon taking a closer inspection. "They heal too fast for a vampire bite."
Elena's eyes met with Jophiel's, who was standing beside the royal apothecary. But like her, hers were also laced in curiosity.
"Does it still hurt?" The apothecary asked.
"Just the wound from the cut," Elena replied.
