The night had grown deeper, and calm had returned to the old house.
Li Jinshan was in the midst of a dream when she was startled awake by a muffled thud. She sat up abruptly in bed to see a shadow bringing a cold sharpness with it. In the dim light, she made out the face of the person, and the color drained from her face, her body trembling like a leaf.
"Feng... Fengchang? Uh..."
Her throat was suddenly seized, and the man's face was colder than ever before, dressed in black like a demon.
He choked her by the neck, lifting her effortlessly off the bed.
"Feng... Fengchang..." Li Jinshan's face was ghostly pale with fear, unable to utter a word. She could only flail her legs wildly and grasp desperately at Li Fengchang's iron-like hands, driven by the instinct to survive.
Li Jinshan's tears seemed to be choked out of her, "Four... Uh... Save..."
