Mi Shen felt hazy and disoriented, only aware that she was being lifted into a car, her cheek resting against a warm chest carrying a faint scent of soap.
She was dizzy to an extreme, straining to open her eyes to a mere sliver, but all she could see was the dim yellow streetlights streaking by the car window, followed by a wave of unbearable dizziness that forced her to shut her eyes once more.
"It's okay, it's okay..." A soft male voice echoed by her ear, and cool fingertips were enveloped in a palm as smooth and warm as jade.
She was so dizzy that she was swept up by waves of it, plunging into unconsciousness once again...
