Huangfu Ergou wasn't afraid at all, his little legs went limp, and he actually sprawled at the head of the bed motionless.
Gu Xiao felt a surge of anger rise within him, took two steps forward, wanting to swipe Huangfu Ergou aside, but then he stopped, turned, and walked out.
Soon after, he came back, this time with a sleepy-looking Uncle Wang in tow.
Seeing that the situation wasn't right, Huangfu Ergou twisted his fluffy butt, and with a swish, jumped down from the head of the bed. Then, like a bolt of lightning that can't be covered with ears, whooshed past them out the door and ran off into the distance.
Gu Xiao said to Uncle Wang, "No matter what, that cat needs to be tied up!"
Uncle Wang: "...?"
He was actually quite surprised. Having watched Gu Xiao grow up since he was a child, he never understood why Gu Xiao disliked cats so much.
It baffled him that Gu Xiao could easily subdue a wolfhound, yet be afraid of a tiny cat.
