Qin Youbei's head felt heavy, and her body was hot and uncomfortable.
Gu Xiao's body tensed, and he looked down at Qin Youbei with a questioning, "Hmm?"
Qin Youbei's vision was blurry as she opened her eyes. Looking up, her large eyes were watery and uncertain as she tentatively called out, "Gu Xiao?"
Her vision was hazy, and the man's face before her was just as indistinct. She was a bit afraid that she had mistaken the person, so she slowly raised her hand, her soft and pale fingertips touching his chin, confirming once more, "The 'Gu' as in 'destiny,' the 'Xiao' as in 'a night of great value'?"
Even in her dazed state, she tried hard to gain a moment of clarity.
Gu Xiao swallowed and gave another "Hmm" in response.
