Xia Wanwan didn't know how long she had cried by the time she came to her senses, and she felt utterly embarrassed about it.
But then again, the man in front of her had seen even more embarrassing sides of her. What mattered most to her now was that Xi Muchen had awakened, that he was standing right in front of her, just as he had every time in the hospital, holding her tight.
Overwhelmed with contentment and joy, Xia Wanwan called out the man's name, "Xi Muchen…"
"Hmm?"
"Xi Muchen…"
"Hmm."
"Xi Muchen…"
"Hmm."
"It really is you talking to me…" Xia Wanwan said with laughter through tears, and her arms around Xi Muchen tightened even more.
"It really is me," Xi Muchen said. "I'm here."
Xia Wanwan finally broke into a smile, though a hint of a sob lingered, "When did you… wake up?"
Her question made Xi Muchen fall silent for a moment before he coughed lightly and said, "Cough cough… It's a long story."
